My husband just told me that he would be interested in getting a massage while we are in WDW! Woohoo! :cool1:  My question...do only Saratoga Springs and Grand Floridian offer the couple massage? Do the Fitness centers at the other resorts offer it? I know they do regular massages...just can't find where it says if they do couple massages. :confused3

TIA

I don't think so.

you have to have a bigger room to go the couples massages - plus 2 masseuse. I am pretty sure the other resort only employ one masseuse.

you can have it in your own room (it cost extra) with the other resorts.

Is the new spa open yet at the Swan? If so, you may want to give them a try.

:flower: Our couples treatment at SSR is a little different than at GF. We don't have a couples massage room. We offer a two treatment {really 4 treatments since you are haveing 2 each} package. One person has an aromatherapy massage while the other half of the couple has a hydrotherapy treatment. There is a short break while we clean the tub and linens, and you have tea service in the lounge. Then you switch places. :flower:

What is the "hydrotherapy treatment"? Can the couple specify either at the time of booking or at arrival which one receives which treatment first?

Thanks for the responses!!

I have a question for Aimee...when you do the couples aromatherapy and hydrotherapy...are they in the same room or would we be in seperate rooms?

Thanks!!!

The couples hydro and aroma are done in the same room. It's a large tub with jacuzzi type jets. We add bath salts and oils to the water. Then there is an underwater massage with a 'water wand', kind of like a hose. It's a very relaxing treatment, one of my favorites to receive actually!

You can specify which one gets which treatment first. I would recommend that the one with the tightest muscles gets into the tub first. That will help loosen and heat the muscles to make the massage a little more effective.

Aimee K, Thanks for you response, that is why I asked, I tend to be more tense than my wife.

And when you're scheduling, have the reservations cast member note it on your reservation that you requested to go first. Sometimes they will schedule it one way, and the therapists might flip flop the treatments. The note lets us know not to switch them :flower:

Does anyone have any experience with the massage treatments at AKL? We were thinking of getting Swedish massages the morning we leave. Thanks!
