Staying there soon and would like to hear what the DIS has to say....about their character breakfast and pool

I stayed there last year on our first trip to Disney. Supposedly newly renovated, but I'm certain I was in the "old" part. My view of the pool was obstructed by I think the bar down at the pool. Having said that, the pool is nice. And the character breakfast was enjoyable by my kids! The characters were pluto and goofy.

We stayed there two years ago and we will never stay there again! (We also were in the newly renovated/old part.) Our room was dusty, the bathroom was not clean (when we checked in), and the housekeeper put the Do Not Disturb sign on our door so that they wouldn't have to clean it. (I saw the housekeeper do it and when I questioned her, she said it was already there.) We actually tried to talk to the manager on duty, and had to wait 45 minutes to talk to her. We were given all kinds of stories as to why she couldn't talk to us -- from having dinner, to being in a meeting, to not being in the hotel, etc. We waited to talk to the manager as we had had enough with the unclean room. They did send up a new housekeeper to clean the room, and she agreed that the room was not cleaned to the hotel's satisfaction, and that she would immediately clean it -- which she did a great job. (I was not looking for any kind of credit, just a clean room!) I WOULD NOT recommend staying at this hotel. Stay at the Holiday Inn across the street. It's new, clean and just as great a location, not to mention cheaper!
