Hi

I've just booked a trip for us to go back to Orlando for December 2009, we are DVC members but didn't have enough points for next year so I decided to book a package through Virgin Holidays.

Eventually decided to choose to stay at Regal Palms as our DD will be 2 1/2 and so it will be useful to have the extra space, especially at night, rather than just having a hotel room. Has anyone been there before and if so what did you think of it?

I've been to Regal Palms and really liked it.The town house was smaller than I thought it would be, but that was only because I thought everything in America was big.* There was plenty of room for 3 of us. We had a 3 bed.Lovely and clean, no problems what so ever. The pool area is fab, lovely and clean.* You can buy some blow up rings from the Publix in front of the resort.* It's not a gated resort and some peeps don't like that. The food at the resort is very good, but a little on the pricy side, but you get really big portions. We used the chinese take away and the pizza place ( next door to publix) loads of times and it was around $8.00 for a chinese.* Again really big portions. When going to the parks, either go through champions gate and onto the I4 that way, or for Disney go to the 192, and then turn onto black lake road (i think it's called that), just after the Orange lake resort and pick up the Sherbeth road to Disney Property.I'd stay there again.* This year lucky enough to be staying on-site, so it will be nice to see how the 2 compare.Try doing a search on these threads and looking at trip advisor.

We are staying here this year .::yes::
It's our first time staying there.

Instead of using 192 turn left out of RP and then head north on 27 as if to go to 192 but turn right at Florence Villa Grove Road (Lake Davenport Estates /Tuscan Hills ).Follow this road to the crossroads then turn left and you will hit 192 .From here you can continue along 192 and take Sherberth or take the 429 toll road and enter Disney from the west .

Regal Palms is on my short list. Looks like a nice place! If you type name into google you will get more info on their own site. As our kids are getting older i would like to avoid having us all in one room.:thumbsup2
