Refurbishments At A/s Movies

Does anyone know if there are room refurbishments going on at the A/S Movies this year (particularly June/July)?

I know that there are refirbishments happening at All Star Music. We were just there. Our room was a little ragged so I spoke to the Manager about our room and my concern of the graffiti in the bathroom, the hole in the wall( it was small) and the graffiti in the dressers. Im glad that Tina loves Jon forever but they didnt need to carve it into the dresser. She told me that all the All Stars are in the middle of being renovated and that my buildiing we were in it had not happened yet. My thought is that it probably is. However call the actual resort and find out would be my suggestion.

I dont know about this summer, but during our stay this past December, we had a newly reburbished room in the Mighty Ducks section. It was building number 3. They where also repairing the big goal at the end of the building and applying fresh paint to it. The room was great. The carpet was bright and clean and the walls looked like they had just been painted. The bedspreads also looked new. If you dont mind the walk, you could ask for one of the newer rooms in this section.

I was wondering if/when All-stars was getting updated. My DH, and I were both against going there, because we figured they were showing there age.

During the first week of Jan. the ground floor of Mighty Ducks, building on the left facing away from the food court, rooms facing the parking lot were being worked on.

I meant to respond to one of your earlier posts...we, too, have always gone Deluxe and this time, for the sake of our budget and our current state of "0" balances on our credit cards (finally!), we have to change our WDW style. Like you, we're thinking of driving instead of flying for the first time (we're only an hour north of Nashville). We can't quite bring ourselves to stay the WHOLE trip at a Value (we deeply love WL), but, without the expense of flying, even a split stay at a Value would be a big help. The reviews on POP all sound great, but DS9 is a huge Mickey/Fantasia fan and it would mean a lot more to him to stay at ASMO...hoping the renovations are done by October!

Karla,

Not being able to stay at the Deluxe was the first issue. Not being able to go to WDW until late next year was the tougher pill to swallow. I just keep in mind that I have been fortunate enough to bring my family there and will have to wait patiently. I'm the Disney lunatic in my family of Dis'ers. However, we're going to need to add on to our house in the next few years, so I just have to deal It does feel good to have zero balances though, doesn't it?
