Has anyone here every bought a refurbished cell phone from their cell phone provider? I'm looking into getting a new phone, but almost all of the phones that they are offering for little to no cost are refurbished and that makes me a little nervous. I don't have to have a new phone, but was just looking around to see what my options were. The 2 I was most interest in were the LG VU and the LG Incite. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with these phones or with refurbished phones? TIA.

Several years ago, my dad's Razr was having problems. It just quit working all of a sudden. His provider told him to send it to them and they'd send him a refurbished one. He got it and it's been working ever since with few minor problems.

I have a Refurbished Pantech Duo, that I've had since January and it's worked flawlessly so far. I also have a Refurb 4th gen iPod Nano (OT, but slightly relevant). With this type of stuff, where there are no real moving parts, they essentially take out the processors, and replace with brand new, so it's basically a outside case that's been touched, and brand new insides.

I'd have no reservations on this.

DS just got an LG Vu for his birthday, and he loves it!

Thank you both so much. I might just go for it, but first I check to see if DH wants a change too.

My Blackberry Pearl was a refurb. I got last August, so far I've not had any problems with it.
