Refund to a prepaid visa

I paid a deposit on a cruise with a prepaid visa. I am receiving a refund (not for a canceled cruise) back to that card. Well DH threw away said visa card. Am I stuck? Is there anything I can do?

I know where I got it and the last 4 digits, that's it!

Also, it wasn't even completely spent when he threw it away but that was a whole other conversation

Okay, I’m not fully answering your question, but I just cancelled today. My parents paid about half of their stateroom with Disney gift cards, but had used the DGC website to consolidate, and always used the same card number (more than the $1000 limit per card). CM told me the extra amount would be sent on an eGift card via email. Perhaps they can do the same for you? I know that the prepaid Visas usually only have a six month expiration, so the card may have been “useless” already.

I am religious about keeping my DCL cards and Royal Caribbean cards. Dropped the ball on this one.

Have they processed the refund yet? I'd just call them and see if you can get it put on a different card.

Call them and tell them you no longer have the card so they can work with you on how to refund you

This exactly what happened to me. I called DCL about canceling our cruise and the CM told me accounting will work with you about that. Well 2 weeks go by and I noticed $250 credit back on my credit card. So I called DCL and asked them about the rest of the refund. This CM told said funds have already been transferred back. I said where was it transferred back to? He said they went back to the original form of payment. My heart stopped. I don't have the cards anymore. I told the CM I don't have them anymore. He said the money was transferred back and there's nothing they can do. He said he was sorry but it's out of his hands.

Twenty minutes later I called back and asked a different CM what's going to happen to my deposit if DCL cancels my cruise, where would my deposit go, back to Visa GC. She said at this time the offer hasn't been extended to me yet, but if it did, it would go back to original form of payment. This CM was nice enough to read me back the last 4 digits of the cards I used, but she doesn't have the full 16 digits. She told me to call the bank as well.

I called customer service number of the Visa card and they said they needed the 16 digit card numbers. I told them I don't have them anymore. I threw them all away. They said unless I provide them either the 16digit number or serial number of the card, there's nothing they can do. After digging around my emails. I found some serial numbers issued to the Visa prepaid cards I used. I'm hoping they can find it. If not, I'm out THOUSANDS
