If I pay off my trip now but manage to apply a discount to my trip later, will Disney refund the difference that I save with the discount to my credit card?

In order to apply a discount if available, you cancel your current reservation and make a totally new reservation, including a new deposit. So there is no refunding the difference. Whatever you’ve already paid will be fully refunded.
