Refrigerators

I had heard that there is now no charge for refrigerators at Deluxe Resorts.
Has anyone had experience with this, and do you know if you still have to request the refrigerator or is it automatically put in your room? I will be staying at Polynesian.

Only the newly redesigned rooms have refrigerators as a permanent part of the room. Until they open you will have to request a refrigerator (slightly smaller than the ones that are part of the new room) at no charge but they can run out if too many are requested.

Does this apply to Wilderness Lodge too? The last time I was there, fridges cost $8 - $10 a day to have.

It applies to ALL moderate and deluxe resorts.

I don't think I will have to request one at POR though right? Because aren't those renovations complete? But if I do, will we need to wait until we get there?

Our room at the AKL already had a fridge installed in June.
