They can be purchased at any of the Disney resort food courts. Basically the way they work is once you pay the approx $14 per mug (possible $15, they were $14 and change but I think they recently went up), the mugs are good for free refill for the length of your stay at the resort. If your staying off property then it would be a a waste of money for you to purchase one because they are not refillable in ANY of the parks (only resorts).

If they are worth it totally depends on how much soda/coffee/tea you drink during your stay. We got them with our free dining plan. I don't drink soda or coffee. I used it once for ice tea. The tea was so bad I never used it again. So it would have definitely not been worth it for me if I had to buy it.

Not worth it. Go to the resort gift shop and just buy a mug of choice. Will be a better deal.

They have mugs at some of the kiosks at the parks that are much lower price (I think about $5). They are not refillable but sometimes they are pretty cute.

I feel the same way about the coffee. When we used to stay in the regular hotel rooms (pre DVC) we used to buy the mugs for our coffee. Unfortunately, the coffee at Disney is terrible. Now we just bring our own coffee and drink it in the room.
