Refillable Mugs

I'm surprised to hear apple juice mentioned. I've stayed at all the All-Stars and there was no apple juice, but my last stay was at Sports in '06. My kids would be thrilled if it was added in. They don't drink soda, so we are always on the look out. We were at POR in August and the only juice type drinks were light lemonade and fruit punch.

I have seen the question asked although I am going to ask, Is it worth it for 12.49 for a refillable mug? How easy are these to tote around the parks or are they mostly for keeping at the resort and using there? With taking my children to the parks, I would think that it would be easier to use disposable and throw away at the park then tote extra things.

:confused3 Thoughts or experiences?

They can be a pain to tote around. Ours actually fit over the handles on DD's stroller and we just hung them on there when they were empty. We usually only brought 2 with us. The options for kids with the mugs are not good, but you and DH might want them for coffee or soda. If you will already have drinks in the room with you, (such as bottled water and juice boxes) you may not need them. We liked having them handy for back at the resort for our afternoon breaks etc... If you are someone who is going to buy soda or coffee multiple times at your resort food court, then they are worth it. If that is not in your plans, maybe they are not for you.:)

The first couple of years we thought they were such a good deal and insisted on them. The last 2 or 3 times we decided we really wan't using them as much. We dont spend much time at the resort and we hate caring them around the parks so for us we no longer get them. If you are not on the DDP and plan to eat at the resort alot, or if you think you will be at your resort often enough & will be drinking alot of soda, tea, coffee...then yes it is worth the money.

Thanks for the thoughts, are there drinking fountains to refill with water or is the water horrible to drink if not purchased? I think in the heat we would have problems drinking soda all day long. I would much prefer water, we actually are on the Dining plan, but just the basic plan. We will have to see when we get there if I am full into magic and buy everything or am able to resist.

DH and I got these at ASMU last September we did not buy one for DD-5yrs. There was coffee, Hot and cold tea, Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, lemonade and Rasberry Iced tea. The mugs were 12.49 tax included and there was no juice. They were well worth the price for morning coffee and evening beverages for around the pool. We also would fill them on the way to the parks and then pour our fountain drinks from our CS lunch in the mug to keep it cold as we walked through the parks.

Only few Resorts offer Apple Juice

We only bought two mugs alos because the kids meals come wiht a drink included! At Pop Century there was apple juice. I was suprised they had Coke Zero and Diet Coke. They also had Fanta Orange soda, which we love.

Anyone know if the Poly has apple juice for the mugs??? That would be awesome if it did. We stayed at AS Sports in 06 and they didn't have Apple Juice then. We bought the little bottles every moring.

Hi, I am new here. :)
I had a question about the mugs too.
My DH and I almost always share a drink when we eat at counter service places...

Is there a rule against sharing a refillable mug between 2 adults?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

But is it correct that you CAN get apple juice?

And does Music have any slushies?

YES!!it is included in that soda dispenser thingie.. I had apple juice the whole week :goodvibes :rolleyes1

Nope...Share and enjoy!

We are thinking about getting these cups for our Sept trip but I was wondering how much a fountain drink or coffee at ASmu is.

Thanks!!

Tera

Thank you for posting the picture!!! You made my day. All over apple juice.

That's great AlisaMom!! I guess I'll just wait till we get to Music to double check the whole "apple juice" issue. IF apple juice is available, the mugs will probably be worth it for us but if not, probably just a MOM mug for morning coffee will do!

We went last Sept and got the mugs. Does anyone know if the mugs are different this year? Can we use the mugs we got last year? Just trying to save a buck or 12.:)
