I was reading a packing list that said to bring your refillable mugs from the same resort - do they refill them year to year? Mine clearly says Spring Break 2003 on it -

Also - are the mosquitos bad now - I heard they might be b/c of the hurricanes - I have never noticed them before but I want to be prepared!

Technically, refillable mugs are for only one stay.

I find that WDW controls their bug population pretty well, but I'd bring some Off just in case.

:earsboy:

We were just there last week and saw no bug problems. Yes as the previous poster said they are suppose to be for one trip, even though a lot of people bring them.

Thank you - I didn't really want to lug my mug back but if it was still good I would have been game!!

Mosquitos:eek: Take the Off. I was at POR Sept. 18-25 and bit several times. While waiting one evening for Off Kilter to play I overheard a man telling another that Orange County Mosquito traps usually have a couple of dozen Mosquitos in them at this time of year and they were finding hundreds.

Mugs? I have seen everything used and have never seen anyone stopped from filling them. That said, I would hate to be the one person finally confronted in front of the whole food court.

Where did you get your Mugs? I haven't seen any with Spring Break or anything like that sold in the Resort food courts.

While we have never had a mosquito problem in the past, when we were there for H. Charlie we were told that the mosquitos were going to get bad due to the excessive amounts of standing water from the hurricane. We left on the day all the 'eggs' were expected to hatch. And evidently they did since we talked to some people that were there about a week after we left and they said the bugs were unbelievable!!! So, bring some bug spray just to be sure.

As far as the mugs go, we have about 12 of them from 4 different resorts and I never take any of them back with me. The last one from BW does say just for that particular stay and has the year on it. But, like someone else said, I would hate to be the person that a CM finally said something to in front of the whole place.

Bring your mosquito repellant. It is worse than usual. There is still lots of standing water which makes it worse.

Years ago when we bought our first POR refillable mugs the CM told us they were forever. Now it seems that has changed. I do bring mine back because I was told by a CM I could.

We used our All Star Sports mug at All Star Music and no one said anything to us they we couldn't.

---As for mosquitos---my dh got all bit up cleaning up debris from the hurricanes. Although, we were at Epcot on Tuesday night and did not get bit at all.

I got my mug at OKW in March of 2003

We were there the first week of October, and were out late at night every night. Never saw the first mosquito.

We were there last week and never saw any mosquitoes. My kids are highly sensitive too, so it's not like I wouldn't notice the huge welts on them if they were bit by one ;) We were there into the evening 5 nights too. :earsgirl:

Maybe it depends on the area but we have lots of standing water in our area. The news is reporting a higher level of mosquitos so I would bring the repellant.
