Refillable Mugs...a few questions

Happy Friday Dis'ers!

I completely understand the refillable mug being used at your resort system but my sister swears that she read something about refillable mugs in the parks? Does anyone know if this is true? Also, we are staying at the Poly and I was wondering excatly what the drink choices are for the mugs @ Capt. Cooks (my nephew is 3 years old and I was assuming that we would need to buy him juice/milk).

I think there might be some mug that is specific to the Animal Kingdom, however I am not sure about that. Besides that at Blizzard Beach and Typhon Lagoon you can purchase a sticker for that day and add it on to the water park mugs, so they don't need to always purchase a new one.

Now at Captain Cook's their drink machines had Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barqus Root Beer, Coke Zero and there are some others which I forget. You are also correct that you would need to purchase Juice and Milk for your Nephew, because those are not included with the mugs.

I wish they would do that it would be so much cheaper even if you had to pay a dollar for the refill over the week it would really pay off.

Animal Kingdom did have some kind of animal head mug. The refills were not free, but at a reduced price.

There is a souvenir mug that can be purchased at the parks but it is not refillable. It is shaped just like the refillable mugs but it has a different picture. Again, it is NOT refillable and they clearly state that, just like the souvenir popcorn buckets that you can buy at the parks are non-refillable.

It would be nice if you could refill either for a discounted price, but Disney hasn't chosen to implement anything like that. Such a shame. Many of us would purchase them if they did.

I totally agree, it would be well worth the original cost for free refills on the drinks and popcorn!

Correct. My DDs got them in 2008. They had large animal heads (they were actually bulky to carry around) and could be refilled for a reduced rate, which we did only once since they held a lot.

The water parks have their own refillable mugs. They have a bar code on them you scan and get free refills for the day at that park.

I was just going to ask about the AK mugs. When someone asked about refillable mugs in the parks I would tell them about the AK mug but they are no longer listed on the menus on Allears.net? Does anyone know for sure if they are gone?

The drink choices that I saw were: soda, iced tea, hot tea, coffee, lemonade.
