Refillable mug worth the price?

I always get the mug when at Disney as we are usually there 8 days. We are staying at Cabana Bay for 4 nights and will probably be in the parks most of those hours as we haven't been in 20 years. How do they keep track of how many days? Is it like Disney with a chip in it? Can you only get it filled for "free" at the hotel?

Chip and unlimited around the hotel. We did one cup for the 3 of us and it was good. You can get soda, coffee, and icee too.

There are two different refillable cup programs. The classic refillable and the coke free style refillable. The classic refillable cup you pay for the cup and then get refills of soda for $.99 and discounted refills on things like slushies and ICEE's. The classic cup is good forever not just the day of. Meaning if you are at Universal for several days it is good the entire time and if you were to come back to Universal in the future you can bring the cup back and get refills for $.99. You do not get discounted refills at the onsite resorts. The coke free style works like Disneys and has a chip. Refills are free but the cup is only good for that day unless you purchase additional days. It is only good at the coke freestyle machines. No refills are available at on site resorts.

Pretty sure the OP is talking about a cup that is good only at the resort. I think it's about $18. We only stayed once, in a suite, so we brought our own drinks. Didn't eat onsite for the two day, non park, stay. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will give you a more definitive answer.

Yes, they are everywhere. I think we paid $12 for 2 days, but starts I believe at $9.99. The more days the cheaper.

Like I said, we bought one and we shared it between the 3 of us.

What is considered a day? 12am to 12am or first activated+24 hours?

According to the picture, the days end at midnight, regardless of when you first buy/use your cup. So, I wouldn't recommend getting one at 11 pm

I think if it is worth it depends on the person. I bought mine for the week due to the fact that I was going to be at CBBR for several days.

Also I like the design of the cups in general. When I will be there again is in December, I will buy it again due to the fact that they will have a Christmas version out. I really did love the Halloween version that they also put out this October.
