>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

Any thoughts on this Tervis attachable handle as an alternative? I'd hate to spend the money, but it could work.

Looking for ideas on how to clip mugs to bags now that there are no handles...any crafty people with an idea?
People have tried these and they don't fit well.

Any info on what the All Star Movies has in stock?

I read on another message board that the All Star resorts switched to all no-handle mugs in the last week. They had all 4 colors when the person posted on Tuesday.

Bought mugs at the Polynesian today. Blue, red, purple - handle less mugs only. The cashier looked for mugs with handles for us, but no luck.

I used to make Sippy Cup straps for my kids out of the rubber jelly bracelets that are often used for fundraisers etc. Just take a length of ribbon, thread it through the bracelet and sew, glue or even tie it. Attach a carabiner at the other end.
Slide the bracelet around the cup, clip to your bag.

At BC right now and only handle less mugs are here. All four colors, red, blue, green, and purple. I brought a carrier with me and it has worked well for transporting our 6 mugs!
Good news is none of our kids have dropped a handle less mug! But, for the early morning and late evening run to refill drinks the carrier works well for one of us to go alone to the marketplace and STILL grab that Mickey ice cream bar with the other hand. :goodvibes

I spoke to a CM at BC about the handless mugs and if they were going to get ones with handles. She said they were told people complained the handles broke off too easily

Ugh

:crazy2: That sounds like company speak for "we can manufacture each mug for $ .10 less if we got rid of the handles...." I've never had a handle break off...and we dropped a mug down an exterior stairway at AoA last year. I've had a lid or two break (and I've seen other people complain about that), but never the handle. I'm not saying it never happens, but I think that's just something they fabricated to explain the change rather than to say it was a cost-cutting measure. JMO.

We've broken a handle. But I didn't report it. I simply tossed the cup.

Some of our mugs are 5 years old and we've never broken a handle

I doubt they would even document it if you had reported it. Both times we had a broken lid, I took the mug back to a cashier at the food court and they just told me to go get another mug and they tossed the mug with the broken lid in the trash. I've also seen people drop their mug and the mug itself gets a crack in it and the CM just replaced it and threw the broken one in the trash. I doubt they have any idea of how many mugs end up with cracks, broken lids, or broken handles. Actually, maybe with the rapid-fill mugs they have some idea of how many are replaced as they have to be activated but I doubt there's any details recorded -- just that it's a replacement for a defect. Our broken lids were still with the old style mug so there was no computer activation required -- the CM just cut the tag thing off and sent us on our way.

My husband has used the same Disney mug for his morning coffee on the drive to work for at least 3 years. That thing gets dropped several times a week and the handle is still attached and the lid is fine as well. The picture is pretty much washed completely off the mug from it being in the dishwasher every day, but the lid and handle are fine. I *wish* the thing would break. I've tried to get him to start using a new mug but he just isn't going for it. I actually put one of the mugs from our trip this summer in the cupboard in hopes that he would grab that one once in a while but he still gravitates towards the old one. :D

Checked into YC yesterday and they hand about a dozen red / blue mugs with handles! The girl at checkout was beyond surprised that I found one! I was too! Went back an hour later & they were all gone!
