>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

Is there special pricing with a "recyclable" mug. We are going in March and I do not want to purchase anymore mugs. We can use the ones we purchased in January? Thank you.

You can have your old mugs reactivated but it's the same price as buying new ones.

For all the coffee drinkers out there...my cousin and I found the mugs to be an EXCELLENT value on our recent trip. 4 days for our shared stay, and we tried to drink all the coffee. :)

OK so I did get a raspberry Fuze from the fountain one day when I just couldn't deal with hot coffee, and that was tastier than expected, but other than that it was all coffee all the time. :)

And even if we didn't get exactly all $17+ dollar value from it, we now have souvenirs.

(if you want purple and they don't have purple out, ASK about it...we just bought the non-purple mugs and then hours later we saw purple. sad!)

Generally yes, when you get "free dining" your plan includes mug credits, but if you're talking about the current "Room Dine Delight" special offer including one "complimentary Disney Quick-Service Meal" per night, the answer is no mug included.
Oh! What a bummer. Since the Disney site classifies me as having a "Dining Plan" on my reservation, I thought the mug was included...I guess I'm glad to know prior to getting there.

If you have any of the actual dining plans you get the mug. If you have the ridiculous Value Resort one free counter service meal offer you don't get the mug.

I stopped drinking flavored soda last September, but still like "the bubbles" so I usually drink seltzer water or soda water with lemon. Does anyone know if the soda machines at the resorts have a button for soda water? If not, I am not sure the mug will be worth it to me on our next trip.

I've seen soda water at the Boardwalk refill station and at Hurricane Hana's by the Beach Club main pool. I don't know about the other resorts.

I checked my confirmation and it states that we get the mug. We paid for the meal plan minus the free cs meal. Will we have a surprise in June?

Two things:

1. A logistics question. So let's say I get up, walk on over to the food court, get the adults in my party their coffee and bring it back to the room. Drink, stop for another cup on our way to the buses. Is it worth bringing the mugs to the park with us? Ideally, I'd get a third cup IN the park, but they won't put it in the mug, right? The idea of reusable mugs that I can't use where I'm spending the majority of my time just doesn't make sense to me.

2. Our sons have the same name! Do you pronounce an A or E sound at the beginning?

2. Long A. Then "mun". We've even been to Ireland since he arrived, and they say it like that, just as the awesome Celtic baby name book indicated. Whew. We've randomly met another boy with the name outside of Expedition Everest, and one woman talking to her husband with the same name. Except the husband was Egyptian, and it was spelled totally differently. :)

1. We didn't have a park-visiting trip, so I don't know the logistics of that. And no, the park places won't put anything into your mug. If you like the tradition of bringing the mug on the walk to the buses, just bring one of those string bags and maybe some paper towels (to dry mugs off) and put the emptied mugs in there once you're done. That way they are contained for the day (and ready for the cup of decaf when you're done with the parks and back at the resort? or is that just me?).

Yay for the proper pronunciation! I brought him and his little sister to a theater workshop a couple weeks ago and the girl there NAILED both names the first try. I told her good job and she just said, "Yeah, I'm Irish." Haha.

E.T.A. I looked through the thread and it says they will reactivate it if your stay is longer than 14 days. So it looks like it should be fine. Thanks.

The first post says "The mugs are sold as ‘length of stay’, but they seem to remain active for 14 days. The display screen on the soda machine will show you the expiration date for the mug when you fill it." But I do have a question about that. I will be staying for 21 days, will they extend the 14 day period if your length of stay is longer than 14 days? I guess I could ask for a manager and say that it was false advertising and they'd probably fix it just for good will.
