referral rewards

Hi all! I was hoping someone could tell me the current referral "rewards" for referring someone to DVC? A family member just joined, and gave them our name for as their referral and the guide said we would be "rewarded". I remember our guide telling us about this when we bought back in 2004, but don't remember what the deal is!

I don't know what the rewards are. The last I knew it was $$ applied to your dues...

I've referred 3 people to DVC, all closed business and received nothing. VT doesn't allow us to receive compensation. So, I receive a letter that says "Thanks for referring ....." no gift card, no dinner, no $$$

Used to get Disney Dollars, have not heard that it changed, NJ allows these rewards so you should get something.

I know you can apply the "credit" to your due's. We here in Indiana are not allowed to receive them. But we do get the Thank You letter.

We're in Maryland. We have friends that purchased in January & used our name as referrals. I believe we had a few choices, but think DH just told them to apply the $200.00 towards our dues.

If you look on the member website, under referrals, it will give you the list of rewards and what you get for each referral. I have just received my 3rd reward which is $500 towards dues, a visa gift card, a disney gift card. I opted for the disney gift card for our upcoming vacation. I am pretty sure the scale is for a 12 month period or a calendar year. Then you start over again. Strangly enough, the last one I got was when I was in disney last summer and got to know this couple while we were there. They were interested in DVC and asked me about what I thought. They used my name and I got $500!! Not bad, huh?

Not everybody is allowed to receive a gift. It depends on the laws where you live.

this is true! And that is probably the only reason I am glad I live in Chicago!!
