Referral Incentives for BLT?

wdrl - thanks for the info.

I just bought into DVC at BLT.

I am glad that the info in my initial post was confirmed as accurate and that I could add to the community with something newsworthy in one of my initial posts.

Why are some months missing from wdrl chart?
January, May ...

The DVC uses only eight months for its Use Years. The months of January, May, July, and November are not used. Please don't ask me why those four months are not used. Its one of the quirks about DVC operations that I've never figured out.

Just curious, what was the original price per point when BLT was first offered and with the incentives what would have been the actual cost per point?

We are so new to DVC, just this past June and although we checked re-sale contracts and figures from time to time it was only for curosity not for purchasing. Just wondered if BLT is keeping in line with what the "inital" price per point was as offered at other DVC resorts vs. the final price per point before selling out. Although I realize that sold out properties can be purchased both via direct sales and re-sales so there is always that to factor in. However, was curious if the percent in increase was similar to the other DVC properties when they reached the final phase.

Hope that made sense. Thanks. :)

Sorry, but I believe you are wrong here!!!

This is the information I have obtain from DVC (I am not addressing the pricing right now, just the gift card issue):

Members who add 100 points and REFERRALS that buy at least 160 points at AULV, SSR and AKV receive a $500 Visa Gift Card. BLT purchases are not eligible

I can confirm that someone I work with who just bought in was told the same thing--BLT not eligible for the gift card incentive so they bought in at AKV.

Just added on $100 BLT points. The $500 gift card is only elligible at AKV and SSR.

What was the price per point for 100 pts? And -- do you know if the same price per point applies for less than 100 pts?

Am looking for a resale add on but may have to pay more just to get exactly what I want.

BLT is full price if you are buying less than 100 points.

Sheesh you've really got to love Bay Lake to pay $140 a point!!! That is BIG money in anyone's language.

My 100 points at AKL for around about $60 a point less are looking like more and more of a bargain by the day!!!

When I told hubby about the new price increase, he dropped his sandwich. I highly doubt they are going to incentify all year round, and not everyone may qualify for a discount, so somebody will more than likely end of paying this price.

We thought low 90s, minus our discounts/incentives was a lot, so you are so correct when you say this new price point just adds value to those of us who bought at $50-$60 cheaper, direct from Disney.

We will only be celebrating our 7th year as DVC members on June 1st, and we can't believe the price increases since we've joined. Yikes!:scared1:

I surely hope anyone who pays that amount will have years of enjoyment at BLT!

Guess I was a few days early......As of 2/1 BLT 1st time buyers DO GET the $500 gift card.

Other changes to my above quote are:

BLT...normally $130, $15. discount, final price $115. per pt.

I cant imagine being a BLT 1st time buyer and not getting the GC last week....and this week save $2. per pt. PLUS getting a GC. !!! Definitely tick me off!!

I will have to share this with the person I work with. And, if I was one of those BLT buyers, I would be on the phone with Disney. As long as a contract has not closed, they will allow you to change to a better incentive.

I did that in 2009 when better incentives came out. My guide got the contracts pulled the day before we were to close. Even on a 100 point contract, it is $700--not bad.
