Just read this, and thought I should post it in case others from my area have not heard and were planning to go:

“Disney’s a Christmas Carol” Train Tour Stop in Redwood City Has Been Cancelled

Unfortunately, this great event that was scheduled for the weekend of June 26 has been cancelled due to technical issues with the Disney train on the railroad tracks leading to the Port of Redwood City, where the event was to take place.

Union Pacific Railroad is in the process of performing major maintenance work on the tracks near the Port. Despite early assurances that the tracks would be available and in good condition for the Disney train, last week Union Pacific determined that for safety reasons they would not provide the Disney train with access over the tracks where the work is taking place – therefore the event had to be cancelled. This unfortunate set of circumstances is a great disappointment and beyond the control of both Redwood City and Disney Studios.

Disney Studios has moved the event for that weekend to the Port of Oakland - Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, located at 2777 Middle Harbor Road in Oakland. Everyone who was going to visit the Port of Redwood City for this event is encouraged to visit the Port of Oakland on June 26, 27, or 28 to experience the promotional train tour activity. For information on this event please visit www.christmascaroltraintour.com.
