Redneck in WDW???

So, here's the thing, we're thinking of going on a WDW vacation with some of my husbands family. They're really fun, great people, but his uncle is a good old fashion Vermont REDNECK!! We're talking hunting, fishing, drinking, jean cut-off redneck. Everyone's pretty on board, but we don't know how to sell him on it. He's never been to Disney, and I really don't know if he would like it. I mean I can't imagine anyone not LOVING Disney, but I just don't know what things he would enjoy. Can anyone help me come up with some things a 45 year old, back woods guy would like to do? Thanks!

Come on! You're depicting Vermonters as a bunch of backwoods farmers. That only exists in the Northeast Kingdom. If that's where you are referring, then I apologise and for the life of me cannot figure out how you will get him to leave the state unless it in the back of a pickup! I doubt you could get him into one of those new fangled flying machines.

DS is an avid fisherman and hunter. He has fun at WDW, but he also likes to venture beyond the borders of the "World." One of his favorite spots is Bass Pro Shops.

I don't know about a redneck from Vermont, but my husband is a complete Mississippi redneck. And he loves WDW almost as much as I do! In fact his whole, very large family are MS rednecks and all of the ones who have been to wdw love it. If you can convince him to make the trip, don't worry he will enjoy himself. Can't give you much advise about convincing him though, our dd who was 4 on our first trip did that for me.

I come from Burlington, so I'm more around the crunchy hippie types but I'll add my two cents.

Promise at least one day of laziness, maybe at one of the water parks where he can sip beer and float on the lazy river afterwards. Just make sure he uses sunscreen, unless he wants to lose that good ol' boy farmers tan!

I love all the ideas, and as far as Rednecks in Vermont, OHHHH YEAHHH. We have them by the truck load. What other states can you ride a snowmobile down the main road in the winter and a four wheeler in the Mud season? Thanks everyone.

Ok....my husband hunts fishes and so forth....he just shot an 11 point in our back yard....we are rednecks.....yet not that bad.....we moved here 4 years ago... WHat you need to do is dont try to sell him on Disney...sell him on a vacation with the family. Then when he gets to Disney....WDW will do the work. I never sold my husband....he just went with me...then when we got there...well Disney Magic took over and now he is hooked too. He came home and got 3 Tattoos Disney based...hehehe Hope I was not to all over the place...I seem to ramble...hheheheh
