OK, so I was one of those that got the Disney Visa. I was checking out stuff and have enough reward points now to get something. I was curious about those of you that may have already redeemed for points certificates at either DL or WDW (well, really DL). I was hoping to use them on our upcoming trip to DL. Does anyone know what they can be used FOR out there? ie: a meal somewhere, a toy, park passes, etc?

I could be wrong Ashley but I called about 2 months ago to find out and they said that you have to call the number on the back of the card then ask to see if you have enough points so they can mail you a certificate.

If I remember correctly they mail them out only in increments of $20.00. I forgot to ask if there was an expiration date.

Good Luck I didn't have enough point to use. :( Although maybe that's a good thing.

We just came back from WDW and we used ours for a dinner at Boma (AKL) and they took them without any problem ($60 worth). We used others at the gift shop at the AKL and it was the first time they had seen them so it took a lot longer - but they eventually took them. I would guess as more and more people redeem their points WDW will get better at taking them. I would guess they take them most everywhere - maybe not at the counter service places tho. The site should be able to tell you more.

You need to check your on-line account to see how many "points" you can redeem. They send the certificates out in increments of $10.

I've got enough for around 4 of them right now. I'm hoping by time to go on the trip I'll have enough for more than that (without killing my credit in the process).

Has anyone tried them at DL?

I used mine in WDW last month. They take them anywhere with a register/way to validate them. They take them at resorts, in the shops, and at restaurants. I don't think they can take them at cart vendors (like popcorn vendors, etc.). They are a great perk! :)

The WDW certificates come in $10 increments, but the minimum order is $20. I got our two $10 certificates in time for our current trip. A couple of days ago, I went to the front desk and had them apply a $20 credit to our room charges.

Be careful when using the certificates as they will not give you change.

I have been working with Disney Store online to get these accepted, to no avail. They tell me to call Bank One and, Bank One says they're only issuing them FOR Disney so, Disney should know. They're clearly marked Disney Store so, I can't understand the problem. Guess I'll hang onto mine until they become more recognizable.
