GO RED SOX!! :teeth:

Okay, I am very new to liking baseball and I gotta ask: What are Green Monster seats?

I just started watching Baseball and find myself loving it! LOL It is so exciting!

:)

Welcome aboard Beanie! The rear wall of Fenway is called the Green Monster, and they've added seats on the top of it.

Nobody ever says "wicked pissa" and I've heard it about 4 times tonight from the TV...why is this.

Great game tonight! Well, other than the 4 errors. Oh well, a win is a win.

OMG, did any of you see the post-game press conference??? Holy cow. How great is Schilling? He said when he woke up in the morning, there was no way he was going to pitch. He said he couldn't walk!!! Apparently, they had put an additional suture in his tendon & they had hit a nerve in his leg!!! He went on to talk about how it was the most amazing day of his life & he talked about the team & how he'd do anything for him & they'd do anything for him. I hope you all can see the interview, I'm sure they'll show it again & again, it was great.

I gotta go to bed. I'm glad tomorrow is a travel day, I think I need a day off. :faint:

GO RED SOX!!!

The colloquial English we speak in Massachusetts should never be attempted by those who have not lived here their whole life.

Wicked (adj) should only be used to describe a noun such as good, bad, sick, etc that is easily identifiable to the rest of the world.

Pissa, while a somewhat commonly used word, does not fit into that catagory. Pissa is a stand alone word that describes something memorable. When the Patriots won the Superbowl times two, well that was pissa.... no extra description needed. In the movie AIRPLANE when after Elaine had her little speech, Ted said "What a pissa", not "What a ___ pissa". That's because pissa devines it all.

So welcome to the world of Massachusetts English, Fox sports. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to have some tonic, start up my caa and go down the street to buy a Sub for lunch.

From a fan of one cursed team (da Cubs!) to another, good luck!

When I was in 8th grade (70/71) my father gave me, his oldest daughter, a turn at accompanying him a Bruins game...he occasionally obtained a pair of tickets and usually one of my brothers got to go. But I was a fan too, and I got a turn, much to the jealousy of my brothers and all the boys in my class. Loge seats at the old Garden...behind Billy Sullivan of the Pats and next to Ken Harrelson of the Red Sox....combined with the big bad Bruins of that era on the ice....I'll tell you .....
THAT was PISSA!!! ;) :teeth:

GO SOX!!!

Well, they really needed those two wins...I have to say, I am not nearly as bad when they are not playing the Yankees...I can actually watch the games!

My dad got tickets to game 3! He's in St. Louis for work and the stars aligned. I told him he needs to make a silly sign so he can get on TV.

How exciting! My oldest brother is taking my dad to Game 5 (if necessary). I'm so excited for my dad. He will be 69 in December & has been a fan for the last 64 years. He has lived in Ohio, Michigan & Kentucky, so he had never been to Fenway park until 8 years ago when I took him to a couple of games over Father's Day weekend. It was so amazing & he was in awe. Oh, he is NOT fun to watch games with. My poor mother.

GO RED SOX!!!!!

My dh WANTS the Sox to lose 2 of the next 3 games so that the Red Sox can win it all in Fenway Park!

I just want them to win it- I don't care WHERE!!

Why the hell does the world have to witness a $127 million team beating the crap out of an $84 million dollar team and still insist on calling it "sport"?

The Red Sox have ruined baseball. ;)
