That happened to us the last time we went...in August. We would have asked for more, but after dropping off our meals the waiter didn't come back until he was bringing the bill.
The restaurant had just opened that week, so I thought maybe it was poor training.
Whatever it was, we haven't been back since then. It makes me very uncomfortable to have to track down waiters and beg for things. If they treat us that way once, we just cross the restaurant off the list.
My family only goes out to eat once a month, so it's not like there aren't other places that we haven't gone recently.
As to the question of how many biscuits people need with their meal, don't get judgemental. One of my sons will tell you quite honestly that his favorite food is bread. We go out to eat, as I said, once a month. If the restaurant has good bread, he will order a small entree...usually off the kiddie menu...and eat bread. Before anyone gets all huffy about how we're out to do-over corporate America (like it's going to break Red Lobster to give the kid a couple biscuits...)I always offer to buy the bread (Fazolis, Olive Garden, etc.) I have, every single time, been told that the bread is truly complimentary. I still offer to pay.
If I had the option to buy more at Red Lobster, I would. But, I am not going to chase a waiter all over the restaurant to get a roll. My younger son ended up taking his cup to the bar to ask for a refill on soda because our waiter disappeared.
