Recommendations for restaurants off Disney World property

El Patron! They are right outside DTD. Awesome authentic Mexican and inexpensive.

We haven't found a great Chinese place so if anyone has a suggestion for that, please share. And not a buffet - a regular sit-down, order off the menu (or take out) place.

Do you like Dim Sum? If so, the Ming Court on I-drive is fantastic. They also have a regular menu you can order off of.

I used to live in Lake Buena Vista. Here were some of my favs.

Bahama Breeze
Ale House
Benihana (sushi) on I-Drive behind premium outlets
Joes Crab Shack on 535
Cafe Tu Tu Tango on I-Drive

Other folks have touched on my favorites!

Miller's Ale House - I *love* their Wednesday whole lobster special.
Giordano's - Great stuffed pizza, but it can take up to 45 minutes to cook.
Sweet Tomatoes - I love this place! Lots of fresh veggies, great salads, yummy soups, good kids prices, etc. Join "Club Veg" for coupons.
Cici's Pizza - OK, not the best pizza in the world but it's cheap, quick and all you can eat.

If you like middle eastern food Jerusalem Restaurant is great. We eat there e times a year. They are also on Restaurant.com $2 for a $5 dollar cert, $4 for a $10 4.4/5 rating on Rest.com

4.5/5 rating on Tripadvisor

Thank you for this.... So happy there is a Joe's. Any more kids eat free or restaurants with a playground would be helpful. How about a restaurant that just has an amazing theme for the kiddos???

These restaurants are not themed, they're buffet and just a lot of food.

We really like Golden Corral, there's one on 192 and also on Vineland Rd off Rt. 535. Salads are fabulous, chicken; both fried and rotisserie, pot roast is excellent. They have a chocolate fountain for dessert. Yum. Breakfast is great also. We think the food is far superior to Ponderosa and Sizzler.

We also like Boston Lobster on 192 and International, all you can eat buffet including lobster. We went for my birthday 2 years ago and mentioned my birthday to our waiter. He asked to see my license, turns out Birthday person was free! I don't know if they still do this special, so Birthday people should check first. I think it's $33.00 now. Lots of seafood, not just lobster.

These are the only two restaurants we eat off site.

I really like Golden Corral in general, but I have found the ones in the Orlando area to be overcrowded, understaffed and therefor filthy. I am not a germaphobe by any stretch of the imagination, but people are pigs and the staff doesn't clean up after them sufficiently so the whole place gives me the heebie-jeebies. I've not been there for breakfast so maybe it's better.
