I'm looking at a trip in the late fall.
We are going to have 4-6 people.
Hubby and myself and 2 teenagers (17 & 18) but maybe also a 20 & 23 year old.
I'm planning on booking it through AAA to get a bit of a discount so looking for a good neighbor hotel.
I have been doing a lot of research into which hotel would best suit our needs but looking for suggestions from people who have first hand experience.
I would like something within walking distance, 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa and preferably with breakfast included. Also it would be nice if it was a 2 room set up so we aren't all on top each other in one room.
Thanks in advance!!!

Look at RI Maigate, easy walk to the parks and has a hot breakfast and they will grocery shop for you and put the stuff away for you.
6 of us stayed there many times.

I second RI maingate. they have something called a Penthouse. It has 2 queen beds in one room, a loft with a king size bed, a small living room ( I thin it has a pull out ) and 2 bathrooms. I go with my friends as I like to have my own space. It ends up being cheaper than 2 rooms and I have my space. It also comes with free buffet breakfast and free parking.

Last summer we stayed at Desert Inn & Suites. They had several suite configurations. We stayed in the C1, it was 2 rooms, 4 queens, and 1 1/2 bathrooms. It had breakfast, but it wasn’t great. The hotel itself is very basic, but it was clean and comfortable
We have also stayed at Best Western Park Place Inn. Their mini suites have 2 queens and a double size sofa bed. It’s just one room and one bathroom, but a much nicer breakfast is included.
The other suite we have stayed at was at Camelot. It had two rooms but no breakfast. If I remember correctly it had one king and two queen beds. I could be wrong about that one it’s been a while!

Residence Inn by Marriott at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center (the one on Katella) is brand new. They have 1 and 2 bedroom setups. Also, Homewood Suites Anaheim Resort-Convention Center. Both are new properties and offer free breakfast.

Another thought: we've done 2 connecting premium rooms (the larger rooms) at the Candy Cane Inn. 2 queen beds (comfy!) in each room, small refrigerator, microwave, DVD player, amenities basket, bathrobes, continental breakfast delivered to the room (a great help when everyone is getting ready for the parks). AAA discount, free parking, free private shuttle (runs on time!), clean rooms, great staff, great customer service. The 2 connecting rooms work like a suite for us and give us two bathrooms, as well. For the teenagers: if they want more breakfast, they are welcome to go to the breakfast room for more food when the delivery basket is empty!

Thanks for that info! I’ve wanted to try CCI for a while, but the room set up didn’t work with my family. I don’t know why I never thought about connecting rooms before. :thumbsup2

It really works well for us. And when my sister wants to join in, we add an adjacent room to our reservation. The kids are now old enough to be able to go back and forth from room to room, the extra bathrooms are always appreciated, and the premium rooms are plenty large enough for our needs. The grandparents love the shuttle. And the customer service at the CCI can't be beat! Given how much money the CCI saves us over the on site hotels (we've tried doing the same kind of room configuration at the GCH), it's a no brainer for trips now!

Just a note. I am also an AAA member and it's cheaper to book your hotel and tickets separate. I have booked both ways and it's always cheaper to book through the hotel website using your AAA discount. The few freebies they offer are not worth the cost you pay. If they are including a character meal it's cheaper to pay in person using a Disney gift card you bought at Target with a target credit card or target debit card because you get 5% off. Just my two sense. Enjoy your vacation!

We have stayed at these 3 too. For us Camelot was the winner. BWPPI was just one room so not sure why it costs as much as the 2 room places! Desert inn and suites felt the most run down, I thought the breakfast was inedible but my family seemed to like it, and they had plumbing issues- i.e. sewage in tub- blech but the poor cleaning lady did a fantastic job. Camelots bedding was nicer and we watched fireworks from balcony. Pool felt more useable too.

We have stayed at RI Maingate and RI convention center - the convention center was new in 2016 and is way nicer. Both have free full breakfast. the convention center 1 bed suites seem a little bigger too - they also have 2 bed suites. Both are about the same walk.
