We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids (9,7,3). last January we did our first cruise (7 day Western) in a cat 4.

We want to bring Grandma 12/31/05 for the 7 day, which gives us 6 people. We need two rooms.

Any recommendations on accomodations?

Thanks in advance

Cat 6 with a room across the hall (Cat. 11? I think). You get all the bathrooms and still have access to verandah. It will be less than the higher categories. One of the children will have to be full price, but do that on the inside room and the rate will be lower. Good luck.

if you want to save a few more bucks, do it with a category 7 and category 11 across the hall.

if you want the plexiglass verandah then the cheapest category you can request is cat 6.

We did adjoining Cat 10 rooms - a poor mans suite. There were 5 of us and it worked great. We put a wood wedge in the door and kept it open all the time.

not sure what your budget is, but since you have aready had the verandah on your last cruise, it will be hard to give it up on your next 7 day... would be hard for me.

How about a CAT 6, with a CAT 11 accross the hall?

they have several ajoining CAT 6's, and ajoining CAT 7's as well.

These are great ideas! I wonder how the rates compare?
