Recommend a TTS agent?

Would anyone be willing to recommend a Timeshare Store agent? We are considering making an offer on a resale and would like to work with someone efficient and thorough. One other very odd caveat also. I have hearing difficulty so phone conversations are especially difficult if someone has a strong accent. So I hope this doesn't sound bad, but is it possible to do most of the talking to the agent by email? Is that unwise do you think?

You can PM if we are not allowed to give names out on the boards. Thanks!

Also, is there a post that kinda shows how people came up with what they offer. I have looked at the link at what is passing ROFR, but I am a bit confused on Seller vs Buyer paying closing and what about MF fees. The contract we are looking at has banked points from 08 and has 09 points as well with a Feb use year. So does that mean we would or should pay for 08 or 09 MF's???

Thanks for any help! We are getting close!! Just wished BLT has "wowed" us enough to just pick up the phone and buy with our guide.

We have worked with Jason Erpelding at TTS. He was very efficient amd corresponded mostly via email. The closing company even sent the documents by email in pdf format so all we had to do was print, sign and fax/mail them back.

He did call us, but that was to confirm an offer - most everything was handled via email.

Good luck ... and enjoy the process! :)

My agent was out for the day and Jerry was very helpful in negotiating my contract with the seller. Not exactly sure how maint fees for 08 would work. On the contract we purchased, 8 points from the 2009 use year were used by the seller. I wasn't concerned about losing only 8 points so I didn't even bring it up. But in my contract from TSS, it stated that the seller was responsible for the maint fees on the 8 points and I had to pay the rest.

I dealt with Jamie Carr and was very happy with her. She was always available by email. She did not seem bothered when I contacted her several times with questions while we were waiting for ROFR.

Jamie was also very good about helping me decide what to offer. I had used the ROFR board and had an idea of what would be good. She confirmed that she felt it was fair, and that it would have a good chance of passing ROFR.

Good luck!

We worked with Scot and were quite pleased. Many of our discussions were via email, which worked out fine.

Bottom Line: I don't think you can go wrong with any of the folks at TTS. They run a good operation.

Another vote for Jason. My hearing is so great and I had no problem understanding him at all.

I used Jami Carr and was very impressed by her service. But as someone has pointed out I think they are probably all good.

Jerry Sydow was super nice, and I'd defintely work with him again! :thumbsup2

As for closing costs and MFs, everything can be negotiated. I have 3 contracts, and didn't pay closing costs on any of them. However, I did pay current UY's MFs, because they had prior year's points, and all current year's points. I thought that was only fair.

Jason was great. He kept in touch on a regular basis, and was very patient with my many e-mail inquiries. He made it a very smooth transaction.
There was a slight glitch between the sellers and the Closing company, and Jason went out of his way to smooth it out for us.

Jason; also had corresponded with Robert & Jerry when Jason was out of office. All extremely efficient & professional. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

I used Jason as well, for a purchase.

He knew the right amount of email and live person to person calls to make. Was always responsive. When out of the office always had backup.

Pleasure to work with.

Everyone at TTS was great to work with on our resale purchase. They really work as a team in backing up each other so you will not be disappointed with anyone. I highly recommend TTS!

We used Scot Decker on the recommendation of a friend. Great to work with. As others have said most things were done via email and phone conversations were not a problem at all. I did speak with Jason the one day Scot was out to the office and he was great too.

Everything with the TTS has been great so far. We are finishing up the closing process on our first purchase. Brenda at the title company has been great too. Everything has been done via email and all questions have been answered quickly.

We used Jerry Sydow. Great to work with. I just called down there blind and got Jerry. Would definitely work with him again.

We have worked with both Jamie Carr and Jason on different purchases and sales. To echo MusicMom's comments, I think the office as a whole works together very well to give a very smooth process for their customers.

Jamie was on a cruise one time while we were trying to finish off a contract, and both Jason and someone else covered for her while she was away. I don't think you could go wrong with anyone in that office.

Good luck!
