Is there a rest. that my kids would enjoy - that isn't necessarily buffet and doesn't have characters? We are planning on going to CM, CP, Donalds Safari Breakfast, 1900 PF, CRT, Ohanas, Sci Fi and Teppan Edu but I need one more place. I guess I am preferring non character because sometimes it's nice to just sit and eat a meal without having to jump up for pictures every 5 min (mom and dad need a break at the world sometimes). My kids are 12,10,4 and 1 so buffet can be just as exhausting with that many kids.

TIA! :goodvibes

Whispering Canyon Cafe is nice and good for kids. The food is nothing special but is good non the less and the staff will keep you in stitches.

Yak N Yeti is another good one. The food is mostly Asian but even a picky child can find something they like.

The Plaza in the MK has very good burgers, soups, sandwiches and salads as well as ice cream

Don't under-estimate any counter service locations either! Peco's Bills has AWESOME burgers!
Cosmic Rays is good as well as Sunshine Seasons and any counter service location in the World Showcase. I've heard good things about Staring Rolls in DHS as well (huge sandwiches and delicious cup cakes!) The other good thing about CS is that one adult can take down what everyone wants and the other can take the children to get a table.

Sanaa!!!!!! I was worried my kids wouldn't like it but everyone loved it (they have the typical kids menu). If you go when its still light animals are walking around right outside the restaurant windows. We loved it

Whispering Canyon is fun too, but very loud

I'd pick Coral Reef. Still kid friendly but not a buffet. This is my DH first pick of where to eat every single time.
My 2nd choice would be San Angel Inn.

DD has loved Chefs de France since she was 8, it was her only repeat request. I think it is the onion soup, creme brûlée, rolls (no longer there). But now they have Remy, that might be fun.

If you decide you want another buffet, Biergarten, Boma and Cape May (dinner) are all pretty good and all without characters. Biergarten does have the German band that is pretty fun.

If you are looking to avoid buffets (and quite honestly I wouldn't blame you) Sanaa is a good choice. You can ask for a window seat so you can watch the savannah durring your meal and it also gives you a chance to hang out over at AKL-Jambo where you can watch over the savannahs (with night vision goggles), enjoy the beauty or relax by the fire pit.

Some other good choices might be Kouzzina, Turf Club or Grand Floridian Cafe if you are looking for resort 1TS restaurants. 50's PTC (DHS), The Plaza(MK), LTT (MK) or Les Chef's de France (EC) if you are looking for a dinner in the parks.

Just note that Remy is usually only there durring lunch hours or early dinner hours. If you make an ADR for, say, 6 at Les Chef's, you won't see Remy there.

50's PTC is fun and the kids love that their parents get yelled at for not eating our vegetables. The food is good old fashioned comfort food.:lovestruc

I know that you didn't want buffets but one of our new must-do's that we tried last trip was Biergarten. The kids LOVED the band and didn't want to stop dancing.:dance3: They said it was their favorite meal of the last trip and can't wait to go again.

I am going to say Raglan Road or Kona. Why because they are the 2 places we eat at that I don't feel like I have to work I sit and relax. I agree a buffet and even just family style sometimes can wear you out. I hope you find one you really enjoy.

My DD loves Coral Reef and requests to eat there every trip. She also had a good time at Prime Time and wants to go back there but me and DH have to be in the mood for that one. She also likes The Grand Floridian Cafe.
