My DH is very hard on his watches especially because he works outside we go thru so many watches either bands break or they stop working please recommend a good ruged(sp) watch this will be his Christmas gift hopefully not too expensive TIA

Since it sounds like he needs a watch he can work in, my suggestion would be one of the Casio G-Shock series. Its not a dress watch, it is very definitely a work watch. From all I have read you can not beat its durability. They are reasonably priced, and sometimes I have seen internet specials.

I second the G-Shock recommendation. Other than changing the battery, mine has been like the old Timex commercials, has taken a beating and kept on ticking.
