We will be celebrating DS3 first birthday while at WDW. We are going to a character breakfast in the morning and spending the day at Epcot. I don't want to order a cake for the breakfast because 1) we'll be too full and 2) we are headed to Epcot right after breakfast and don't want to worry about leftovers.

Where do you recommend that we could we get a small dessert/cake in Epcot that would work for a birthday cake? We don't have ADR's for the rest of the day, so we could eat anywhere.

Bumping.

I looked at the menu for Boulangerie Pattiserie. Does anyone know if they have little cakes? Do any of the other countries have any cakes?

TIA- The plan was to find a spot to have a dessert after dinner where we could all (DH, DS1, DS2 and I) sing "happy birthday" to the little guy.

Check the food pics on the DIS. Maybe you'll see something that will work.

Sunshine Seasons has great desserts, but I don't recall any small cakes there. You could still get the strawberrry shortcake dessert (lots of whipped cream) and stick a candle in it.

You could walk over to Boardwalk Bakery and buy hime one of these little cakes. They are $4 a piece and just so cute! :goodvibes

You probably can get a cupcake without much problem.
This may even be provided if you mention the birthday on your reservation for breakfast.
I would mention it to the server....you may even get the candle and some mickey confetti (typical birthday extras nowadays).

Bakeries around EPCOT include Norway and France and a selection at Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavillion.
Bakery menu items change regularly though, so don't count on something you've seen on a menu being there that particular day.
There is also the boardwalk bakery at the boardwalk resort....short walk or boat ride out the backdoor/world showcase exit of EPCOT near the U.K pavilion.
Last I checked, they had mickey cakes there (only $3.99)
Check out post #62 on this link for a pic of them....

Thanks for the replies! Now that I have a better sense of what is offered, we can plan where to eat dinner that day.

Also, thanks for the tip about the cupcake! I wasn't even thinking of that, considering it was breakfast. Is that something I have to request, or is it up to your servers discretion?
