I had some really good corn chowder a couple weeks ago at WL and I have craved it ever since. I was wondering if anyone had a good recipe they would be willing to share? :)

Here is one of my Favorite :

A delicious corn chowder with bacon.

Cook Time: :20

Ingredients:
1/2 cup diced bacon
4 medium potatoes, chopped
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 cups water
2 1/2 to 3 cups cups cream-style corn, 2 (12 ounces each) cans or 1 pound, 4 ounce package frozen
2 teaspoons salt
pepper to taste
2 cups half-and-half or light cream, scalded

Preparation:
Sauté bacon until browned and crisp; add chopped potatoes and onions. Add water, corn, and seasonings; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in half-and-half; heat through but do not boil. Serves 4.

I love the corn chowder served in Pigeon Forge, TN at the Old Mill Restaurant. Here is a link to the recipe. I don't know how close it is to the WL chowder, but this is a great soup:

Enjoy!

Oh man, that Old Mill corn chowder is soo good!

I've made this recipe on All Recipes that was good. It has some cayenne pepper in it, so it has a kick to it.

You can't buy clam juice, can you? I'm guessing you'd have to buy a can of clams and use the juice from that?

Sure you can. Its sold in bottles in the pasta aisle. I'm guessing so people can use it for Linguine with clam sauce.

So you understand about the Old Mill Corn Chowder. Man is that stuff good. Your recipe looks good--I've bookmarked it to try soon.

And about the clam juice, you can find bottles in the grocery store--you may have to ask where. I've seen it with the pasta sauces, lemon/lime juices and in the cocktail section near the Bloody Mary mix.
