One of my neighbors gave me a 5 pound bag of chicken strips which are already cooked (not breaded) and I am trying to find creative ways to use these...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I was thinking of making chicken strips over pasta for tonight but have never made these with cooked chicken strips....where do I start? Open to any suggestions for recipes as I don't want to waste these (...we are not a fan of Mexican food though or actually any spicy food)

Well - cooked chicken does freeze ok. Maybe save some for future meals?
Otherwise, off the top of my head:

chicken salad
chicken soup
chicken & dumplings
chicken stew
chilled, chopped and served over a salad

Make or buy soup base. Add cooked pasta, noodles, or potatoes of your choice. Same for frozen, fresh or canned vegetables. Use seasonings you prefer, dill springs to mind as going nicely with chicky veggie soup but so many other choices such as parsley, watercress, arugula, basil, As well. Add chicken at the end and simmer until meat is warm throughout.

ETA great to add leftover pesto or gremolata to a soup or sauce based pasta as plenty of seasoning within.

"Mexican" doesn't have to be spicy. Nice warm tortilla, chicken strips (with or without taco seasoning), load on the veggies, a little cheese, salsa if you're brave and....yum!

I would just chop them up and freeze in individual meal sizes and use for chicken tacos, add to gravy and serve over mashed potatoes or noodles, use in a stir fry, chicken chili, there’s so many ways to used diced chicken.

You could slice them, put them in the oven (with some spices that will complement whatever pasta sauce you're making), then add them on top of your pasta. I've seen a cajun pasta recipe that uses chicken.

You can also portion them out and freeze in sections you'll use.

You could try a bbq sauce marinade and then either bake them or grill them

You could bread them... make your own or try shake n bake.

Do you have an air fryer? They surely have a recipe for you to use.

Bake them and slice them into small cubes to add to chicken noodle soup. Or slice lengthwise for sandwiches. Or larger slices for stirfry or chicken tacos or to add to breakfast hash.

Let us know what you end up doing.

I'm no great shakes in the kitchen, so I'm wondering - those of you who suggest breading/shake & bake/this cap't crunch thing - what is your trick? I didn't even realize you could bread (and then I guess cook a second time???) already cooked chicken.

Sometimes I buy large quantities of chicken and cook it ahead of time, but it never occurred to me I could add this to my repertoire.

Oh, no, don't recook it with breading. Cooked chicken has plenty of uses, though, like your pasta (just throw it on top or add it to the sauce to warm it up), add to soup, cut for stir frys or tacos or sandwiches or evening snack or salad topping or pizza topping.

Look for a chicken divan recipe. Chicken, broccoli in a cream of [your choice] soup sauce, baked with cheese. The one I usually do has curry, mayo and some lemon in it for flavor, but I see quite a difference in recipes online.

Oh yeah - that I've got. I was just puzzled as a few folks recommended breading already cooked chicken and I wondered how they went about that...

Are they thinly cut strips or like chicken tenders?

I almost exclusively buy chicken tenders because breasts are too large. You can use them for anything you would use full sized chicken breasts.

They are not as large as chicken tenders but not thinly sliced. I have made them with chicken and biscuits and vegetables but thanks for the great ideas!
