I have a kodak easyshare that takes AA batteries. Kodak told me I could only use rechargeables in it (otherwise if I use alkaline, I could lose my pics) . Today I looked on the battery door and lithium AA is listed. So, I was wondering how long they really last? Would they last a day in the parks? Does anyone use them instead of rechargeables?

a fresh set of batteries , rechargable or alkaline should last 250-300 shots. if your doing more than that, then you will need another set of batteries.

It will also depend on how long you leave your camera on, or if you do any playing around, flipping through pictures, etc. Some people use the camera and turn it off. Others use it, leave it on and take a picture 10 minutes later.

i have a canon powershot, and i've found that the lithium batteries last MUCH longer than the rechargeables. i don't like the rechargeables at all. tip: just don't leave the camera on! i was uploading photos to my computer one day, and my batteries were almost new. once i finished uploading the photos, i forgot to turn the camera off and left it connected to the computer...drained the batteries completely!

Lithiums are a better battery.

It would be good to get a card reader so you do not have to drain batteries to copy the pictures to your computer.

I just wanted to post here, cause I lost the other thread. I posted I loved mine in my remotes and someone posted that they are not recommended in remotes. The reason why is the frequency is not used as much and the battery life is shorter than what is on the package.

You can go ahead and use re-chargeables in your remotes, but they may not be as effective as long as something used more often at a higher frequency.

P.S. I love my rechargeables in my cameras!

I get over 1500 pictures per charge with Enloops. Check them out on Amazon. They are the best rechargables I've ever had!

Our DSLR comes with a camera-specific rechargeable. But for our point and shoot, we always use the Energizer Lithiums. Good stuff.

Target has a 4 pack of AAs and a charger for $13. You will save a ton of money using rechargables. Those two sets will get 400-500 pictures a day then you just pop them on the charger at night. I've been using mine for years.

The camera I have now has a rechargable battery pack, but with my past cameras that took AA's I had been able to get 3-6 months out of my lithium AA batteries, as opposed to rechargables or alkaline. It may be cheaper to use the alkaline if they're on sale, but having to carry around enough alkalines to keep your camera in batteries is not worth the trouble to me.

Also, my SIL would use rechargables in her camera that was the same as my camera & she was ALWAYS having to recharge and/or buy alkalines when we were out.
