We just purchased our first 2 contracts from DVC direct - at VWL . I had talked to our guide and told him that we were really only interested in VWL. This was mid-July.

He had 3 different options for us, including an August use year, where we could bank our 2012 points, as well as get full 2013 points - even though we closed last week.

He also had 2 other buildings that were December use year.

So the wait was 0, but that was because we didn't have any use year restrictions.

He also mentioned the wait list was small at that point (I thought he said only 2, but I could be wrong).

I'm waiting on a June UY. Maybe they don't have any right now.

In general, it does seem to depend on the UY you want. Unlike milepore, we waited a few months as did rusafee (we're both on the VWL Groupies thread ); however, we had a specific UY since we wanted to match up with our existing VWL contract (Feb). Further, we only wanted 50 points, and sometimes smaller contracts are tougher to come by. I don't know if a June UY will be tough to get (Dec-Feb are harder) nor how many points you want, but the wait could be from a couple of weeks to several months. Best of luck!

Wow after just 2 weeks on the list my 100 points cane through today!!!! They are IN my account!!! Woo hoo!

I only got 2013 points. I have a June UY.
