We just returned from a week's stay at BCV -- Studio #275. We had a really wonderful time with our 3 boys.
For the first time in a dozen or so DVC stays we had a few things that we had to have taken care of....
We arrived on Saturday and immediately after one of the kids washed his hands, he got all excited about the sink. I thought he might have closed the stopper and was filling up the sink, but no,
there was water pouring out of the faucet and the handle would not turn it off unless you stopped in just the exact spot. The handle had actually came off. I was able to get it back on and get the water stopped but it was leaking all over the bath counter. We called and they had someone up in about 45 minutes. The thing that bothered me was that it had to be obvious to the maid that it was very loose .....why she didn't have someone attend to it before a guest checked in is a mystery to me. The fellow worked on it quite awhile....actually had to leave and come back with another handle.
Later that night, we all had our baths and or showers. Dear old Dad was last, taking a shower and the drain in the bath tub was slower than molasses (sp). I mean it was flat out gross. The spouse remarked that she couldn't believe when she was giving the 9 month old a bath (we leave the drain open with him) and the tub was filling up like crazy. It was around 9:30 pm but sorry it is just not cool to stand in water or lay in the case of our baby in water that is being held back from a thousand other folks "stuff". Same fellow showed up in about 1/2 hour and the amount and condition of the stuff that he got out of that drain was amazing. He was even commenting how bad it was. He spent about 1/2 hour on it. We were so glad we called about it, the rest of the week you could literally hear the water whistling and gurgling as it rushed down the cleaned drain.
Finally, on Monday, after only 2 days we ran out of our 1 roll of toilet tissue (there was not the usual extra) and I called down at around 7:30 am to request a "refill". We will be right up.....after an hour and after finishing up the rest of the "kleenex" on the 3 year old, called back and with a bit of tone said now could they also send up some kleenex also while they were "coming right up". We headed to a park and when we returned some 'paper" had made its way up....again why would the maid not leave an extra the way every other DVC and/or most any other motel/hotel in the country does.
We had a wonderful stay but sometimes the little things can be a bit of a pain, especially when all 3 were avoidable.
We loved this resort. Can't wait to stay there again sometime.
