Two things I wanted to post about regarding our recent PBH stay. At check-in, we received blue pouches with a string to wear around our necks for our park passes that say Loews Hotels. There is a clear sleeve for your park passes and room key to show for FOTL. Also , there are two zippered areas in the pouch (money/cell phone). Dimensions are 4" x 4 1/2". Pretty nifty. We did not get these during our 5/30 trip but we did get them on our 7/4 trip. Don't know if they are for Loewsfirst/Youfirst members or not.
The other thing is chairs by the pool. PBH, in a sense, allows you to save pool chairs. DH and I went to the pool to grab chairs for us and the kids. When you show your room key card for towels, the staff member will ask you if you need assistance with chairs. We were told they could "prep" four chairs for DH and I. We needed five but they said we could only get 4 since we were only 2 people present at the time. They prepped the chairs with three towels, one rolled as a pillow. DH tipped the staff $10 and we pulled up another chair so we would have 5 when the kids came down 5 minutes later. It was amazing how many chairs were "prepped" and sat there for hours until the guests came to the pool. I am still weighing whether I like this or not. One day we came to the pool after visiting the parks around 1 PM and could not find any chairs (this was July 4th weekend and the hotel was sold out). About 40% of the chairs were "prepped" with no one in them so on that day it was not fair to us. LOL! As with WDW, the best way to get a chair is to head to the pool early. The difference is that at WDW, if I see a chair saved without a body for longer than 45 minutes, I grab it as do other guests at WDW. I would not feel comfortable doing this at PBH knowing that people paid (tipped) to get the chairs which is condoned by the hotel. I didn't ask about their specific policy on saving chairs. If the beach pool chairs are filled, the villa pools usually always has chairs available.
