I just returned from a stay at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal. We usually rent a car but this time I was solo.
Shuttle Going to the hotel I was alone so I took the Mears shuttle one way from the Orlando airport. It was $14.00. The best option for a single with only carry on luggage. But defenitely not a pleasant experience. It took about 20 min from buying a ticket to getting in the van. Not bad but you have to wait outside breathing diesel fumes because they yell your destination and it's really hard to hear.Make sure you check in with the person at the outside podium
Taxi: This was the BEST ride I've ever had! The cost was $32.75 + tip one way from the hotel. Since a friend was returning with me it was only $20 @. We didn't even have to wait for one to be called since they hang around the hotel. We left when WE wanted to!! It was clean, quiet and the driver was very nice.
