Recent experience of Airline Network?

Has anyone had any recent dealings with Airline Network? We have used them in the past and they have been great. However, we have had cause to need to change our plans for our forthcoming trip, due to the airlines changing flight times, and their service has been appalling! It feels as if they don't have enough staff to cope with the workload. Despite changing our booking almost 4 weeks ago, they haven't sent us a revised invoice or our carhire voucher despite numerous promises.

I was wondering if our experience was typical.

I had the cheapest quote for car hire through them for October. I will be interested in any replies also. Not had any previous experience of them unfortunately.
 
Only ever used them for car hire I'm afraid. They were very good, but then I never had to ring them or change anything, which is always the test with web based companies. I had a similar thing with E-bookers - great over the web, appalling service over the phone or if you run into any problems.

We booked our car hire with them for our December trip. We did at quite late notice (long story :rolleyes: ) and while the front office staff (Call Centre) made the right noises we didn't get our voucher despite much prompting - we didn't have time to wait for it to come via snail mail. So whether the front office don't talk to the back I don't know but we did have to phone several times before the voucher was emailed to us.

I would use them again though as we saved £££££s

I think Steve_Rob is exactly right with ehat he says about web based companies!

Just got back today and had problems with Airline Network (aka Global Travel). We hadn't received the voucher and didn't realise the confirmation email wasn't enough. Dollar honoured our booking but took my credit card and would charge me for the hire if they didn't get the voucher. Emailed Airline Network twice with no response. Rang twice and asked them to email me to confirm they had faxed a copy of the voucher to Dollar. Still got no email. Had to ring Dollar to check they had it - which they did. Dreadful customer service from Airline Network. Most important thing is to make sure you have the voucher with you to pick up the car. I guess that's the price you pay for cheap car hire (although US Car Hire were only a few pounds dearer).
 
Had no problem changing my hire car with them - new voucher was sent out straight away. Always print out the voucher when I book online so have never had a problem with vouchers not turning up either :D
 
Still not got the revised invoice or managed (until this afternoon) to speak to anybody who seems to understand what's going on! Have managed to get through to the 'Help Desk' after almost 45 minutes of being on hold or passed on to the wrong person or 'accidentally' cut off! The guy on the Help Desk assures me he will get back to me tomorrow with it all sorted - we'll see!

Well - yes the guy on the help desk got back to me today. He said he had personally posted our car hire voucher to us last night. When he rang, our post had not yet arrived. When it did arrive - lo and behold! - not just one envelope - but two envelopes from Airline Network! And yes -you've guessed it- two car hire vouchers! Still no paper invoice - but I'm now up to my 3rd electronic one - none of which have been correct!

I've told them I will NEVER use them again!
