Recent experience at Concourse?

Has any one had a recent experience at Concourse Steak House?

I just read 2 reveiws on Deb's site where 2 different reviewers mentioned that their steaks were dry.

I had planned to try the Concourse during December as I think it would be cool to watch the monorails (we go to a hamburger joint at our local airport b/c we can watch the planes take off and land) and b/c Concourse is closing for good next year.

I've seen that people have wildly differing opinions on virtually every restuarant in WDW, so I generally make my ADR's where I want. However to have 2 different reviewers make the same comment was a little disconcerting.

We went there last week. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The meat was fine, but we did have a lousy waiter. He discouraged the lowered priced entrees telling us they were not good cuts and were very fatty. He also never gave us steak knives or provided the toppings for a baked potato. Hopefully this was an isolated incident. We are going there for xmas eve dinner.

Thank you for starting this thread. I am curious to see the responses as well. I have an ADR booked for New Year's Eve. I did see yesterday in another thread that the Concourse was closing in 2008. I'm glad that we are trying it before it closes. I believe it was closing permanently and a new restaurant is being put there (if I read it right).

We ate there August of 2006, and had a really great meal. I had the Filet and my DH had a steak (I forget which one). I didn't use my steak knife on my Filet...it pulled right apart with my fork it was so tender. The kids loved their meals as well.

We ate there in December '06. My DH ordered one of the daily specials-a 24oz porterhouse. DS and I both ordered filets-all were delicious and definitely not dry. My parents were there a couple nights later and also ordered filets and enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent! We have ADR's for our December '07 trip.

We just came back. and the food and the service was superb..

DS#2 and I had the filet, Dh had the strip steak and DS#1 had the prime rib.. all we excellent, BTW we did get steak knives..Service was excellent and the chocolate cake was moist and delic too. Definately on the list to include each year.

My family and I have been there for dinner two times, with the last time being in December 2004 and everything from the food to the service was 100% perefct.

Curious too, we ate there in 2005 and had a great meal. I made an ADR for our upcoming trip so hope its still a good meal.

We were supposed to eat there a couple weeks ago sans children for our anniversary. I was leary about going because I too read some bad reviews. So on our first night - was do the traditional CM's. As we are walking past Concourse, to us it seems to resemble a glorified coffee shop. We changed our ADRs to the Yachtman's and never looked back.

There we experienced a flawless meal.

Our party of 6 ate at the Concourse in August of 2006 as well. The kids had the chicken fingers, the adults had either strip steak or filet mignon. The steaks were perfect and delicious. The waitstaff was top notch. We were also on the free DDP and had the appies and deserts. If you need a recommendation for an appetizer: go for the pan seared sea scallops. Awesome. But so were all the other appies we had. IMHO this restaurant is a winner. Enjoy!!!
