Recent character changes?

I know the answer to this, but feel I must ask........ anyone ever find Bert?

I found Bert with Mary early this month in Epcot. I kind of freaked out, lol (though I have met them together several years ago when they were more common.) Peguin was out that same day near the fountain, so it was a Mary Poppins kind of day.

I don't think so. IIRC, Pocahontas is only out at MK for hard ticket parties (and I'm not sure even that is accurate any more)

We saw Pocahontas at AK in that spot in Sept. My friends were lucky enough to catch her with Meeko, thugh I missed that by 2 parties in front of me. (but I caught them together at Characterpolooza later that week.)

I don't think so. IIRC, Pocahontas is only out at MK for hard ticket parties (and I'm not sure even that is accurate any more) and AK has long been the only place to find many of the animal characters like Jiminy Cricket and Terk. I think Lilo is basically a goner too unless you do the character breakfast at Ohana because while Stitch still makes appearances in Tomorrowland he's alone there.

Pocahontas used to be out for the Pirate & Princess party, but is not part of MNSSHP or MVMCP.

Pocahontas and Meeko have been pretty regular at Characterpalooza. Of course, I'm still not over having no access to Characterpalooza in December. The killer is that w aren't even GOING to Fantasmic. I actually LIKED having it a limited number of nights a week. It made it so much easier to pick a low crowd day at DHS.

The P&P Party was a hard ticketed party they discontinued in 08.

Not sure how recent it is, but it was different from the first time we were there. Tiana was alone in her Gazeebo last month. No Prince Naveen, but he was in the parade with her.

My daughter was happy. She merely tolerated him previously. Was much happier with one on one with Tiana.

I believe Naveen appears at the M&G with Tiana after the parade, but not before. Or do I have that backwards?

WHAT?! NOOO, I was sooo looking forward to seeing Jiminy at RPW in a few weeks. Is there any chance he'll still be there in mid- Dec?

Pocahontas is gone from RPW. You can still meet her in Camp Minnie Mickey.

It's saddening. The park that needs help is losing stuff.

More characters than you've probably ever seen in one place before.

Not in December since Fantasmic is at 6:30 every night.

She's one of my favorites, and that movie was my absolute FAV when I was young (still love it, of course!!)

Me too. I was finally able to catch it in May, and it was SO much fun! I went with a friend in Sept, and she had a blast, too (I turned her into a fellow character freak on that trip, lol.) She was so excited when Mary came out with 3 Penguins! I was hoping to go earlier this month, but didn't get back to DHS the day I expected (it was a short trip.) And of course I was hoping to go in December until I saw the times. (Going the 7-14, not sure if our dates match up, I read your TR & our Dec trips last year overlapped. )

That's the thing, the attendance was not good. I only went once, but it was EMPTY. I've been in the parks with very few crowds, but nothing like this. I was really looking forward to going the following year (especially since I wasn't Disney-smart yet, lol, and was going to be much more prepared the next time), and then they canceled it. At least I got to meet Captain Jack at the Halloween party this year, not meeting him at the P&P party was a huge regret for me!

We went to two of them and both were very poorly attended. People talk about how pack the MNSSHP and MVMCP are if you want to see any of the party events; Pirate & Princess Party was just the opposite. The longest we waited for anything was a half-hour for Captain Jack, all the rides were walk-ons, and by 11pm it felt like we had the park to ourselves. I guess people weren't willing to pay hard-ticket party prices for a non-holiday event, and if that was true in '07/08, before the economic turmoil and when the tickets were about $10 less per person, I think it would be even more true now.

I for one don't mind that they're gone. I hate planning trips for party season and the P&PP extended that season by several months.

Aww I'm really bummed to hear that. Last trip we didn't get to meet Jiminy Cricket or Pocahontas. So you won't be able to meet them anywhere in the parks at all?

There is a Pocahontas in AK by the Festival Of The Lion King. Pocahontas shows up allot at Characterpalooza in the Animation Studio at HS.
