Anyone eaten at the Beaches & Cream restaurant since the recent remodel? I’ve heard it’s not the same experience since it reopened and the food is not as good. I’m hoping this isn’t true!

I ate there two weeks ago and still loved it. The burger was just as good as before. It does have a slightly different feeling now that it's bigger. I do miss the old space, which had a little more of an authentic soda shop feel, but at least they didn't expand the building too much.

I ate there last month and loved it! But I had only been there once before the refurb, so I don't have much to compare it to. The food was delicious both times though

We ate there last month and we thought the food was still great. We had the burger, fries, onion rings, snickers sundae, and kids mac n cheese and ice cream. Loved it! I do agree with others that it isn't the same feel, but only due to the space being much larger. I do like the new artwork around the restaurant though.

Just ate there a few moments ago. Still fantastic and one of our favorites, right up there with some signature restaurants.

Had a Stormalong Shake, chicken sandwich, and ended the meal with the No Way Jose sundae. Delicious.

With the increased size, it seemed like a kitchen sink was being ordered every 5 minutes!

The major difference that immediately struck me was the increased noise level, when B&C was at full capacity. Dinner on a Sunday night, sitting at a banquette against the back wall, was just about unbearable. There was a table across the way with three kids and four adults; the kids and adults were so noisy and unruly that you wished you had earplugs. Until their food was delivered, the kids would not sit still and instead of speaking to each other, everyone shouted - including the adults. When the food arrived, things quieted down somewhat. I asked the server if it was unusually loud that night, and the response was that dinner time is normally very loud; the CM also said that it was impossible for the servers to get the noise out of their heads after work, even when driving home. The finishes are all hard surfaces, and the sound really reverberates.

As a regular at B&C for years, I miss the old set-up, but I also realize that Disney had no choice, but to expand, based on the demand.

As for the food, I thought that the old items on the menu were better than the new ones.

Don’t be surprised if you have a wait when checking in for a peak time reservation; it’s been somewhat difficult to get the food out promptly, when at capacity, so the tables don’t turn over as quickly as planned

After a bad (and very noisy) dinner with mediocre food, I thought I would not return. However, I did a walk-up for an early lunch and thought it was much better. The food was promptly brought out, was very good, and I enjoyed a much more quiet environment; it reminded me of B&C before the expansion and refurb.

At slower times, the environment and service are so much better. If you don’t care about time of day, I suggest going slightly off-peak, for a more enjoyable dining experience.

They did a great job on the renovations! It seats MANY more people now. The colors are beautiful. I wasn't thrilled with our service, but that could be caused by several factors. Anyway....my review of the food....YUM!!!YUaq6L%gTT+0PVf5O%Y2eA.jpgs3qC9kkyTfyFVIl3%4N82g.jpgOTnRwmeRQxCwM6VRCflk8Q.jpgoiJM5Nr6RZCiaxwYeV1lRg.jpgiuJahkmVR8WB3VtGGugNXw.jpg

I completely agree about the noise. It was loud. Especially when a toddler across the restaurant had a tantrum, everyone could hear it. It might be a tougher place for kids with sensory issues from loud noises, but we’ve grown accustomed to Disney restaurants being loud.

We’ve only been 3 times, but given how hard it is to snag a reservation, is there such a thing as slightly off-peak?

We were there today for a 3:20 reservation for 3 people and waited until 3:50 to be seated. Outside of a few empty tables pushed together that were obviously being held for a larger group, the place was at capacity.

My “slightly off-peak” time was at about 11:30 in the morning for an early lunch, before heading out to MCO. As a matter of fact, the server nicely packed up my leftovers, which I finished at the airport, before catching my flight back home...it was much better than the typical airport food!

We haven't been since last year before the renovation. We were discussing last night which restaurants we would like to consider for our next trip. It's always been a must do for our youngest dd15. But she doesn't want to go back this time as it doesn't seem to have the same feel. I'd be interested to hear others thoughts on feel and atmosphere compared to what it used to be.

Definitely not the case for us! Our food was fantastic - in fact we made a second ADR on our trip because we enjoyed so much we went twice! The French dip is so so good. The tomato soup is delicious and the ice cream is amazing. We really loved it and had been pre remodel too. I think their menu is even better!

I don't know why the food wouldn't be as good. To my knowledge, the renovations were to the space but the menu is still essentially the same, same kitchen, same staff. The Dis Unplugged podcast did a pretty extensive review on their YouTube channel and it got generally good reviews.

For gluten free folks, Beaches and Cream has gotten SO much better. They finally have a dedicated fryer so those who can't have gluten can have tots or fries :-) With the increased amount of tables, the waitstaff does seem a little busier and all over the place. Both times I've gone since it reopened, my order wasn't accurate (little issues, not a big deal) and the cast member seemed a little frazzled.

We recently ate there and thought the food was good. Our service was really bad. Our waitress said she had an issue with another table and their bill that she had to redo several times. My wife and kids ended up leaving because of how long things were taking and i got the kids ice cream to go (it took about 20 minutes after dinner to get the desert). The service wouldn’t keep us from coming back though. It’s a great option if you are staying in that area.

We just ate there last week. It was our first time so I have nothing to compare it to, but we were unimpressed. It was incredibly loud and the service was appallingly bad. I was hopeful at least the sundaes would be epic but I guess I have a different idea about what "drenched with a topping of your choosing" means than they do, and I watched them make my sundae about 10 minutes before they actually brought it over so it was half-melted when I received it. (It was an unusual sundae so I knew it was mine and one of the toppings was hot.)

It took an hour and a half for us to order, receive, and pay for 4 sundaes. In that time we saw other tables all over the map, some getting served faster, some just as slow, and then when we paid our bill had to be redone because she ran our card on another table's bill. We don't plan on going back.

We also saw service and timing of meals all over the place at this restaurant. Normally I don’t pay attention to that but once you’re service starts to be in question you start looking around.

We ate there MLK week. I got an ADR about a hour before we went for around 6:30pm. It was cold outside, I'm talking cooooooold. We had to wait about 1/2 after our ADR, even though they have expanded the place there is no where to wait inside so we wandered through the Arcade then stood outside. There were two of us so we were sat at a two top by the wall. It was noisy and busy and noisy. Our service wasn't good, the poor guy had a couple of big tables so we were kind of an afterthought (I've noticed this trend often at WDW table service restaurants, seems the bigger tables get better service than tables of two). The food was just o.k. We probably won't go back, we prefer the little soda fountain place at the Dolphin for service, price and amount of of food.
