Receiving Disney Destination e-mails are getting annoying, now

I've received my third e-mail from them in the last few weeks with no discount offers. I have one saved trip for December on Disney's website and they want me to book (have a link in the e-mail). Without a healthy discount we can't stay on site. I consider this e-mail a tease. I know I have a saved vacation and I know how to go to the Disney website and book without a discount; I don't need a link to do it. If I get another similar e-mail I will remove my saved trip. I don't want e-mails without discounts from Disney Destinations.

I know there have been a few others reporting the same kind of e-mails. Here, on the DIS there doesn't seem to be too many pincodes flying around lately for the end of the year time with discounts. There are rumors of a mid August discount coming; I hope that's right.

I'm beginning to feel these e-mails are either the calm before the storm (a public discount offer coming soon) or the deals like free dining or 40% room codes have dried up. We shall see in August.
 
AMEN. I too am sick of opening my inbox and seeing...DISNEY DESTINATION just to have no Discount included in it...URGH!!!
 
Sorry......... can't help. I don't even KNOW what an email from Disney Destinations look like! :sad:

I really think this has been amusing to watch. Them sending out emails with no discounts, or the ones with mystery resorts with payment due in full. Don't you wish we could see their "success" rate with these?
 
Last pincode I got just irritated me. Nivember only excluding nj week and thanksgiving 10% room offer. You can get cheaper renting points from a dvc owner.
I can getswolphin for $125 a night. That discount almost wasn't worth my reading it.
 

I agree! I get constant emails on all three of my email addresses and no pins :confused: Also, mailings, DVD, maps, a welcome planning package with the monorail on the front addressed to my adult daughter at our address, and no pins! We booked a few weeks ago with a crappy 10% off pin and I have been hoping for a better offer but nothing has shown up.
 
Count me in. I am getting one per day. I tell my DH and he said did we get a code, I say "a nope".:crazy: They aren't going to give us one yet for 2012. I have a saved package for May 2012 but we aren't going until June. I just have it there to see if there is any price difference for when I am able to book BLT which I am hoping it will be by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.
 
same here, i get the same emails weekly. "we're excited you are considering coming back to pop, yadda yadda yadda, then give me a discount to seal the deal!!!
 
I saved an offer for spring break next year for Disney LAND and got an email with an offer for Disney WORLD for November of this year - no PIN code in it but a 3 letter code. Are those shareable BTW?

I called and asked what it was and he said a discount for room only - not sure how much though. I already have a bounceback offer booked and he said it wasn't better than that.

I got a pin for May of 2011 in Nov of 2010. I wouldn't expect anything this early.

Oh I keep telling my DH that it's way too early for a pin for 2010 but he just likes to think he knows what he is talking about as he hears me talk about the pins and such to my DM.:lmao: I do have to say that last year, he was the one that received 2 different 40% pin codes. I signed him up and saved one vacation and boom, he receives the codes 3 days later. I was very, very grateful as we were able to use one for our June 2010 and the other I used for me and my DM for our mother/daughter trip in August 2010.

Usually the 3 letter codes are shareable, I believe. Do you mind sharing what it is? I am dying for a Nov. discount! :worship:
 
I get the same emails! I get so excited when I se it's from them, and them it's nothing. My DH and I get them at least once a week.

I have received a couple of those now. They are beyond irritating.
 
I got one of those nothing emails too. Totally annoying. Like I forgot what I saved two days earlier and needed a reminder and a link.
