Receiving confirmations on your DVC reservations?

Do you receive a confirmation in writing when you book a DVC vacation as a member? If this is not standard procedure, could you request a written confirmation? I like to have everything in writing when booking a vacation, even if I get it a couple of weeks before the trip.

Anyone ever have a problem with the CM at MS messing up your reservation (i.e., not booking the correct room category, the wrong date, etc.)? Or do things generally go smoothly?

You can see your reservation on line as soon as it is made. The Advisor is suppose to mail you a printed conformation that is batch processed and that takes about 10 days. They do make mistakes. We always verify our reservation prior to our trip.

I like to get a confirmation, especially if I am on the Dining plan. Sometimes, they mess up and don't add it on or I forget and have them add it on and then send a confirmation.

As a matter of fact...... I just posted a new thread in another area about receiving a written confirmation for a developer point ressie.
It took longer than 10 days because there is a delay in having a ressie number generated when using developer points, seems to be about a week. BUT, it did arrive exactly 10 days after the ressie was finally confirmed. The total time was more like 20 days.
