Received Wrong Magic Bands?

We received our customized magic bands yesterday. My son and husband were supposed to get the Star Wars bands. They got blue bands. My daughter and I got the colors we chose. Any idea what went wrong or if there is any way to get the ones they picked? The Star Wars bands were the default bands, so it isn't something extra or out of the ordinary. (I think...)

I've never seen the star wars bands as a choice. All of the default bands are plain bands. A single color that you choose on MDE.

Star Wars bands are purchased through a store and are ordered.

Was it the "Awaken Summer" promotional bands they were supposed to get? I suppose you'll have to call Disney to find out what's up.

The Blue Awaken Summer MBs with BB-8 should have been sent to you. You should call and let them know you received plain blue MBs and perhaps they can send you the correct bands.

They aren't available in the parks and resorts so you'll need to call now rather than wait.

If they were for the Summer Awakens promotion you were not supposed to personalize them. I was told that when I booked the promo. The CM that helped me set up the reservation said that if you personalize them you won't get the Star Wars bands.

This might be a silly question, but did you take the blue bands out of the box yet? It looks like the BB8 design is pretty low on the side of the band, so it might not be visible underneath the packaging in the box. Just a thought.

my thought exactly. Take them out of the box, BB8 is on the under side of the bands. (I know this because I thought we got the wrong band too!)

By "personalize", do you mean add your name? If so, we did that, and still got the BB8 bands.

Yes I was told there were special bands just for the promotion and not to personalize like add special names. I don't know if they are different than the bb8 ones everyone is talking about.

That would be odd. If you didn't put someone's name on it, how could you tell it apart from others in your party? I think the cm gave you bad info.

I personalized my BB8 bands and got them. I have heard that they ran out and some were getting light blue with stickers.

Seriously? At the very least they should have subbed a D-Tech band. They do have that technology - much more advanced than a sticker.

Actually you don't have to personalize them to get your name on them. We went a few months ago, didn't personalize anything but still received bands with our names. We just got the plain gray ones though, but they had our names on them still.
