Received nice pin surprise in the mail today

Checked my mail today and received a nice surprise from the DVC. Two Stars & Stripes Mickey icon pins in memory of the events of September 11, 2001. I hadn't heard that they were going to do this.

There are a couple of threads on the DVC board from members who received their pins. Nothing in my mailbox yet. While I am thinking of it - aren't NJ & NY two of the largest staes represented by DVC members?

Actually, isn't it two pins per member? That would be even better since there are five of us.

We received two pins on a cardboard type card. Very nice. I believe that NY is the state with the most members. If this is like the last time they shipped pins, I believe they ship them in batches so people all around the country will be receiving them at different times. These were not shipped bulk rate which kind of surprised me. Check your mailbox daily!

While I was at the World this past week, I can tell you that almost every time I approached a pin cart, someone was asking for the Mickey Flag pin. They were totally sold out and weren't sure when the next shipment would come in.

All of the CM's are wearing them and they were being coveted by everyone.

I was not able to buy one, so I cannot wait to get mine in the mail.

Well I guess that is another pin I won't be getting. I never got my WLVilla pin even though that is my home Club.
I had to go to the DVC on the Boardwalk and ask for it. Wonder why some get it but others don't? But I am at the parks in November so I will ask why they always forget me.

The DVC is the Disney Vacation Club that you buy a timeshare of Disney resort property at places like the Boardwalk Villas, Wilderness lodge Villas, etc. I think the going rate to buy in now is around $12K plus yearly maintenance fees. The DVC even has their own forum on these boards. Hope this helps!!!!

the Wilderness Lodge Villa pin is a cute little pin with Mickey and I think Minnie in front of the WL. It was sent to quite a few DVC members. I of course was not one of them. I went to the DVC at Boardwalk and told them I was a pin collector but I never received the DVC pin. they gave me one, but I had to sign a form that I had gotten it. They gave one per family, I couldn't get one for my son.
But it si a nice pin and in with my resort pins. Peggie

We got ours in Ohio over the weekend. They are beautiful pins with a nice inscription on the back. Someone else on the boards pointed out that someone has 30 of these pins for sale on "that auction site". The question is how someone could lay their hands on 30 of these pins.
