I actually received a PIN yesterday! :love:And it seems like a pretty good one, so I think I'm going to make changes to our hotel plans.

The PIN offers:
Values at $60/night 8/14-8/31
Mods at $115/night 8/14-8/31
AK and WL at $182/night 8/1-8/14

I was booked at BC at $248/night 8/7-8/13 (the 30% current special). So at the very least, I think I might move us to AK or WL. But the $60/night for the values is quite tempting. Even though the dates aren't quite what I need, and I know its a considerable step-down, but I've often thought my 5 yo and 7 yo would be happiest there since they look the most 'Disney.' And at $60/night, I think I can suffer to save $1000. ;)

I also think I might have gotten the PIN because I made one of those "create your own movies" on the Disney web site, and the next day, the PIN arrived. I've had the BC reservation for weeks now, and no PIN had appeared.

Congrats!!!!
I hope I get one. I am schedule for the exact time frame and have been so upset that the promos were all around my dates. Fingers crossed!!!

I called today just because I read on another thread that people call weekly, so just for fun thought I'd test it out. At first she said no........... then she said yes ( she was not the brightest crayon I think) she told me I had two attached to my id, then when I told her I've booked through an agent already that I couldn't use it, I'm not sure if this is the way it goes or not nor did she, put me on hold to check and then disconnected me grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Anyone know?

Which ID?
The one you are using for disney.com?

yes the one I use for disney.com is what I meant. I called again this morning and there were two indeed attached to my name, so it does pay to call ! and live on the sites for sureeeeeeeeeeeeeee. This lady today was amazing, however she couldn't attach it to my name because I used an agent, so my agent had to call, and she did this morning, however this is what I received back from her :

I have just gotten off the phone with Disney and there is indeed a PIN code under your name. However, your resort has no availability for your travel dates. Only so many rooms are allocated for each promotion. If you want to take advantage of the savings, you would need to move to a different resort.

If you want to change resorts, just let me know and I will price out other options for you.

Sooooooooooo now I'm just not sure what to do, like a savings of HOW much ? Is it 750 bux because thats something I'd consider, if its about 200 then who cares I'll stay where I am.

Quick question...how do you receive pins?

PINS you get from living on disneyworld.com, make an id, price out numerous trips, order the dvd, order the maps, etc...... I did all these things, so far I've received a PIN through email and now two attached to my name by calling. So my question is this, HOW would I have known there was these PINS attached if I didn't call, they'd of just expired and not of known so call people just for fun !

Well that's a good PIN to see as all the recent discounts left out those dates. Too late for me as I rented DVC already (and quite happy with the savings there). I hope it helps those who waited for free dining for those dates, and then were surprised that they weren't included.

ya so I'm wondering who else has one attached, all it takes is a phone call, get on it people !!!! I've got my agent looking into AK if its a 40% one for deluxe maybe its worth my while to upgrade, we'll see, waiting to hear back from her. But I was kinda getting all excited about CS !

To be honest, nobody knows how Disney makes the decision to distribute PINS. For every person who lived on Disneyworld.com, ordered the DVDs, priced out trips, etc...and received a PIN there are 9 other people who have done the same thing for years and never received a PIN. Conversely, there are others who never bother with ordering the DVD, ordering the maps, etc.. who seem to receive PINS by the dozens. Who knows???

Truth be told, some of the General PIN codes you can find on Disney's website on Travel Packages ---Special Offers, are pretty good offers. I have been fortunate enough to receive several PINs, but the codes never coincided to when we wanted to visit Disney. However, the PIN code we are using for our upcoming trip in August was a general PIN I found on Disney's website. It was a 35% discount for the Deluxe resorts....the discount eventually was bumped up to 40% but that's a story for another time.

I got the same pin as the OP. It came today. This is my first pin also!

It came on a tri-fold card that said on the front "Good move creating a Customized Map online. GO DIRECTLY to some extra vacation info inside!"

I don't think I will be able to use the pin, but I was excited to get it anyway!

Also it said at the bottom of the offer "Ask about other dates, accommodations and packages including Theme Park tickets at varying rates!" How is that for vague?!

I priced out a Christmas trip and the next day got a pin for month of December with the email showing what BC/YC looked like at Christmas. And yes I booked...30% off...Also had ANOTHER pin that I did not know about but she told me about when I called from first pin. It was for free dining this summer but I already have a room only discount booked so keeping that one instead...

The deal in the OP's pin is now basically the general public offer but general public extends through September I believe. Just in case any one is looking for room discounts. Its about 20 percent off value and 25 percent off AKL. I think.

Very true BUT since I've never ever been to the site ever in my life and coincidentally once I started looking at the site nonstop to be getting PINS all of a sudden its kinda fishy to me, so although its not "proven fact" I think its more than worth a shot to play around on the site to try, nothing ventured nothing gained is the saying right :)

Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with visiting the WDW website, ordering the DVD, etc... as long as folks understand that doing so won't guarantee them a PIN. I have seen too many folks disappointed because they did all the above items and never received a PIN.

very true, not a for sure thing but fun playing on there and if you get a PIN out of having some disney fun then all the better........... unfortunate those that play play play and nothing comes out of it yes :(

Hello all! Does anyone know if PINs are ever attached or sent to Disney nuts :lmao: in the UK?
