Received DVC Member Cards Today

We received our DVC Member Cards today and we just closed on our DVC resale on 11 May 06

Thought I would let everyone know since I've been reading the last month or so about those who have not received their cards for months after they closed. Disney has been turning things around really fast on our contract. Here is our timeline for those who are thinking of buying or still waiting

4/7 - Contract to Disney for ROFR
4/19 - Passed ROFR
5/11 - Closed on Contract
5/15 - Name in database, waiting on points
5/18 - Points in database and made reservations for 1st Trip HOME
5/18 - Received Membership books and Trip Planning books from Disney
5/26 - Received DVC Member Cards (these are not temporary - they are the permanent ones )

Now we can't wait for our trip at the end of November to SSR

I think they must have revamped the whole approval system as it seems to be so much faster these days. I couldn't believe it when our recent offer passed ROFR in just a few days. Our first resale took several months from start to finish.

How nice is it to get them cards in the mail with the BIG MEMBER on them.

I keep mine sitting here in it's lanyard carrier to look at while I'm on my Computer.

Thanks for the timeline. I was just getting on this board to find out about how long I might expect to wait as I just passed ROFR. Without even asking there it is. Isn't this a great board!?

Received my cards this week too! We basically had the same timeline. Unfortunely our first trip with DVC won't be until sometime next year. Hoping for end of June trip to HH but will have a back up at BCV!

I would call since some of us who closed in May have already received our cards.

I gave a deposit March 13th and recieved my Member Card on Friday May 26th.

After our closing date our names were in the system in 4 days, but the points didn't show up until the 7th day.

We closed 3 weeks ago and got our cards on Saturday

We closed in May and got our cards last week.

Our first trip home will be this December. We've booked a 1 BR unit (BW view) at the BWV from 12/15-12/20. We're waitlisted for a BWV studio. I am so hoping our waitlist comes through so we can save on points. It's just going to be me and hubby.
