We called and got the 20-30-40 code today.... so excited!!! Changed out itineraries and order dvd's, updated my profile, etc....

So I tried to book Coronado - a moderate should get me 30% off. No standard view rooms available... ok... I get it. Two water-view rooms normally would cost $2317.50 - that's without the discount. With the discount it is $2047.50 - about 11% discount.

Why am I so confused???? I'm on hold now with Disney reservations trying to figure this out. I would book both rooms if I could get that 30% off.

The discount is for room only, not total vacation package. Go to the Disney website and take away all costs (ie. tickets with park hopper/water park option), but keep the room price only.

Now take away 30%. Hope that helps.

You'll save about $350/$400 on week long trip.

Cheers! ....and have fun.:cool1:

Yes I did the same thing when I got my first code. Thought it was for the whole package.

I was bummed at first but afterwards still not a bad deal.

Thanks... I was using it for rooms only (DVC members w/ AP already.)

After over an hour on the phone and being transferred around a few times... I finally had a very, very helpful CM that determinned that Columbus day weekend is blacked out and we are getting lower rates for the first and last day of our trip but not for the weekend.

Bummer! Any idea what other times are blacked out? I haven't gotten my pin yet (see, I'm still hopeful!!), but we're looking over Labor Day - wonder if that'll be blacked out too?

I have been hoping for the code too and didn't even think of it being blacked out during Labor Day weekend.

I have the 30/35/40 code and here are the dates:
For stays most nights 4/11–7/1/10, 7/5–10/7/10,
10/11–11/23/10 and 11/28–12/16/10.

I also have the 20/30/40 code (I got them both yesterday!) and here are those dates...which now that I copied/pasted, I see are the same:

4/11/10–7/1/10
7/5/10–10/7/10
10/11/10–11/23/10
11/28/10–12/16/10

Thanks! Doesn't look like Labor Day is blacked out :dance3: Of course, I still have to get the pin.....

That really stinks! We've almost always stayed over "blackout" periods (ex. Thanksgiving) and gotten whatever discount we're using for the length of stay as long as we checked in before the blackout dates started. Anyone know if this is just a PIN thing or is this a new rule for gp and visa offers, too?
