We are bringing our doggies this trip so our usual 100 loop is out. My husband would love a canal front site. We have a 35 ft motorhome with 2 slides. Any reccomendations?

request one the week before you arrive. Call FT W directly, THEN the day you arrive remind them of it. You will probably get one. Theres several.

300 loop is having some problems lately it seems. WE've been going since they've open FT. W. Seems like theres been alot of tenters who rent a site then take like three big families and put several tents up on one site to save money. Many feel these aren't really campers/tenters but people trying to have a cheap vacation at disney. Some of the men were even using the treess for a bathroom! This one site this week had about 15 adults and small children staying on one site with multiple cars parked. I know security came down but they denied they were all staying there.
The kids literally laid down in the road way at night playing games. i can't imagine parents who will let tots play on a dark road way unattended. While another one of these tenter gangs were throwing footballs hitting RVs and cars even though a great field is like a minute walking distance away.
They did throw a similar gang out for getting drunk and partying so loud, they trashed the campsite.

Anyway, the disney worker peeps said to call the front desk and complain when you observe people breaking the rules its the only way they are ever going to get more security in there to protect the people who are considerate campers. Don't let this discourage you from staying there but IF you see peeps breakin the rules be sure to call. This comes from people who work there, they want help!

330 looks right at the canal through the service road. It makes it hard to close your curtains. On the other side of the road 329 down to 314 you can walk out the back of your site the the canal.

And if you don't want preferred then 1800 has some canal front sites, too.

Thanks so much for the replies Cousin Ed C and campingcorgi.
We did want to stay in the 1800 or 1900 loop originally but changed our minds when we invited my DM and Aunt and Uncle along. A & U will be staying at the Widerness Lodge and we would like to be fairly close to them and to the marina.
I think I will request 330 or anything from 329 to 314 on the outer perimeter.
campingcorgi: I remember seeing you there in June/July of this year. I am usually much more talkitive but I had just gotten back from riding Mission Space and was feeling a bit green!! :wave2:

Oh, hi, I remember!!

:earseek: Just the thought of riding Mission Space makes me queasy!

We have been told by 3 different CM's at FW when calling and/or checking in that all preferred sites are now pet loops. Are we the only ones being told this? TIA:wave2:

I heard and believe this is true. Maybe the 100 might be the exception. Didn't notice any dogs present last 2 wks when in that area.

If this were true--we would request our usual 100 loop.
Does anyone know for sure if this is true or not?

I just called WDW reservations and they said the 100 loop IS now a pet loop!! Just wanted to let you all know. Hope they are right!!

CRO is notorious for having bad information about pet loops. I called directly to FW and talked to the front desk. 300 & 700 are the only permanent preferred pet loops. They said they do reserve the right to add loops when the number of pet guests requires it, but no, 100 is not a pet loop per se.

FW Main number is 407-824-2900. Anytime you have a question they are happy to answer.

The only thing that is standard around FW is the confusion over pet loops
:p
