Reccomend a P&S for me please

I dont think im quite ready to upgrade to a DSLR yet but I want to upgrade to a better P&s. So what I hate about mine:
slow between shot
dosent do great far away shots sad1. Its hard to get good zoo shots or great lake shots
not enough manual fetures ( I dont like leaving the camera in control)

I like:
Marco shots are my new favorite. I take lots of animal pics and nature shots.

I want somthing great thats not gonna cost me fortune. DSLR seems like it would be rather bulky and I would spend more time focusing on my photos rater than my sister.
