Rebooking Reservation

What happens if:

- I book a reservation at the 11 month window at a home resort using home resort points, and then

- At the seven month window, (assuming there is no waiting list) I ask to have the points changed to use non home resort points?

Does this become a whole new reservation, or is rearranging of point sources allowed?

It becomes a new reservation.

We do this sometimes when we want to reserve at Vero. BWV is our home resort and I make a reservation there at 11 months. At seven months I call and ask about availability at Vero. If it's available the CM will cancel the BWV reservation and book Vero with the revised point total. We don't have lots of points, so we couldn't hold both reservations.
